Arthit was tinkering with Bugsy when his phone pinged. It was an email. Wiping the grease off his hands, he lifted his phone only to smile broadly, seeing the sender's name. This was the first time he got a mail from Kongpob. Settling on the chair in the garden, he opened his mail.
P'Arthit!
I miss you!
How are you? Even though I talk to you every day and see you on video calls, I miss you. I miss touching you.
Remember P', I had asked you to write a love letter to me. I guess that will not happen ever... so I thought I should be the one to do it.
Today I had gone over to Por's office to deliver lunch. (Pssst... Mom has been going crazy cooking ever since I got home.)
So, she made me deliver hot food to Por. There, sitting on the 9th floor, I was looking out of the window, waiting for Por when I saw two eagles flying around playfully.
There were other birds, but these two majestic creatures stood out. They playfully chased each other- tirelessly, they played for a long time. When one dipped low, the other chased him and pushed him to fly higher. When one soared higher the other followed. I saw them play for a while, and then they sat on high perch looking out at their kingdom. Those two birds inspired me today, and I wanted to share this feeling with you.
Let's be like those two eagles in life P'. Let's fly and soar high in life. When I am feeling low, be the wind beneath my wings. When you soar, I will follow you. Let's own the skies and make it ours. Let's be the masters of our destiny. Let's not be worried about what others think about us. Let's build our own world, P'Arthit.
Are you ready, my love? To soar? To find our piece of heaven?
Arthit couldn't help the smile that lit his face, at the same cringing at the cheesiness of the mail. Pulling up his messaging app, he sent a short message to Kongpob.
"Yuck!"
