Regret And Marionette Meet Rin Chan

The date was August 1st, 2021. It was a nice summer afternoon in Negi Root City. Ritsuko Fuyuma (Regret), her twin sister Mahime (Marionette), and her friend Lemy Abelard were taking a walk together in the park.

Regret: I'm so excited to go back to school. What about you guys?

Marionette: You know it. What about you, Lemy?

Lemy: Well, I start high school soon. And I'm kinda nervous.

Regret: Oh, that's right. Don't worry. Mari and I will show you around.

Lemy: Thanks. Wait, do you hear that?

Marionette: I don't hear anything, except birds.

Lemy: Besides the birds.

Regret: What are you talking about?

Lemy: It sounds really close.

Marionette: What does it sound like?

Lemy: Someone is...singing. A girl.

Marionette: A girl is singing? Okay, Mr. I-Have-Good-Hearing, lead the way.

Meanwhile, a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes was singing to herself. She was wearing a red-and-white dress that looked old-fashioned. In her hair was a red rose hairpin. Lemy was the first person to see her.

Lemy: I don't believe it...Rin!

The girl, Rin, turned around and saw him.

Rin Chan: ...Lemy? Is that really you?

Lemy: It is.

He ran over and hugged her. She hugged him back. Ritsuko and Mahime saw the 2 of them.

Regret: Um...Lemy? You know her?

Lemy: Yeah. Remember during one of our Zoom sessions when I talked about my childhood friend? Well, this is her.

Rin Chan: My name is Rin Chan. And what about you?

Regret: I'm Ritsuko Fuyuma, but you can call me Ritsu. This is my twin sister Mahime, but you can call her Mari.

Marionette: Nice to meet you.

Rin Chan: Pleasure's all mine.

Lemy: So, what are you doing here in Negi Root?

Rin Chan: Well, I moved here recently.

Regret: Oh, so you're new here? That's interesting.

Marionette: We can show her around the city.

Regret: Yeah. What do you say, Rin?

Rin Chan: I am honored.

While the 4 were walking around the city, the Fuyuma twins know a little bit more about Rin. Like she is 15 years old like Lemy is, she's 5'3", her birthday is April 27th, and she sings for a living.

Regret: So, how did you know Lemy?

Rin Chan: We were both in the same orphanage together.

Marionette: You're an orphan?

Rin nodded.

Rin Chan: My adopted father was pretty cruel to me as well. He forced me to sing for many concerts until my voice could no longer take it.

Marionette: Aww...

Rin Chan: But Lemy here saved me.

Regret: That's nice of him. What happened to your adopted dad?

Rin Chan: My adopted father is dead now.

Marionette: So, you moved here to Negi Root to start a new life?

Rin Chan: You got it. And to make new friends, like you 2.

Regret: Well, how long have you been here?

Rin Chan: I moved last week. I had enough money to buy a house. It's over there!

Ritsuko and Mahime saw her house.

Regret: ...That's a beautiful house.

Marionette: Yeah.

Rin Chan: Thank you. Well, I hope to see you in school whenever it starts.

She waved goodbye and went inside her house.

Marionette: Wow, Lemy. Rin seems like a fun person.

Lemy: She is.

Regret: You don't have any romantic feelings for her?

Lemy: No. We're just friends.

Regret: Okay.

Marionette: Come on. We'll walk you home, Lemy.

And so, the 3 of them walked away from Rin's house.

This idea has been on my mind for at least a couple days. And Cleopatra IRL requested it for me. I hope we see more of Rin Chan in future stories. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you guys in the next story!
