When Klavier arrived back home, the first thing he thought of was Apollo Justice. That, in and of itself wasn't abnormal, but the anxiety that came with said thought was. His ride allowed him to escape any possible anxiety from Apollo's gesture, but as soon as he caught his breath from the exhilaration his motorcycle brought him, the nerves took over. He knew he was going to have to call Apollo- who wouldn't after being given such an opportunity?- but he didn't know what he should be calling about. He didn't exactly want to be questioned about his glasses again, since if anyone could figure out their true purpose, it was Apollo. He was amazing like that- always able to expose even the most complex and hidden truths. Ja, he thought, Apollo would be onto me in an instant, should I attempt to lie again.

It wasn't as if he could just tell Apollo the truth either (despite how easy it would be to tell Apollo everything and get rid of this horrible secret). He hadn't told anyone in his life about these mysterious powers and it was best kept that way. Even a man he felt he could trust so wholly could betray him- he'd learned that from "the Daryan incident"- and Klavier didn't want to take that chance with Apollo. Klavier also feared that, should he tell him, the defense attorney would leave him in an instant. Apollo hated being lied to, and although Klavier had very good reasons for keeping his ability secret, Apollo could easily take it the wrong way and never want to be near him again.

It plagued his mind for almost three days. He did avoid obsessing over his plight at work, choosing instead to bury himself in case files and autopsy reports, but the nagging anxiety always reappeared when he gave himself a chance to breathe. It was quite aggravating, but Klavier did appreciate a challenge; this was certainly the hardest his mind has worked since the Courte murder case. He was determined to find the solution to his problem and gave himself until the end of the week to follow up on Apollo's gesture.

Finally, on a Saturday evening, Klavier thought of a very appealing idea: he could ask Apollo out on a date! That would give him that ever-so-rare opportunity to spend some time with his Forehead outside of a case and he could charm his way out of any uncomfortable questions. This would definitely be something he could enjoy. Grabbing his phone before he could lose his nerve, he pulled up Apollo's contact (though he'd already memorized the number through hours of staring at his companion's messy note). Not allowing any hesitation, he smashed his finger into the call button (which did hurt a bit) and held the phone to his ear.

Apollo was startled from sleep by a rendition of "The Guitar's Serenade"- his ringtone. For the first time ever he felt lucky to be a light-sleeper. Hurriedly, he shook off the blanket of sleep from his mind and answered before the song's first repeat. "Hello, Apollo Justice speaking," he greeted as he picked up his cell, trying to keep his anticipation from his voice. Usually, he wouldn't pick up some random call late at night, but he had been waiting for a certain someone to call him. It was kind of late for the glimmerous prosecutor to be calling him now, he thought, but he wouldn't doubt that Klavier was awake at 11:30pm on a Saturday.

"Guten abend, Herr Forehead. Did I wake you?" the smooth, slightly accented voice on the phone greeted, sending Apollo into an internal frenzy. "O-Oh! Kl-Prosecutor Gavin! Hi!" he responded, trying to keep his voice level against his Chords of Steel, "I was asleep but don't worry about it. What'd you need this late?" He heard some rustling on the other side of the line before Klavier spoke again, "Ach! I didn't realize it was so late! Es tut mir sehr leid, mein Lieber," he muttered and Apollo gave a dismissive noise- he didn't understand German but from the prosecutor's tone, he was genuinely sorry. Apollo, however, had waited almost a week for this call and no amount of lost sleep would keep him from it. "Well... I was wondering if you would like to go out for dinner sometime. It would be just the two of us, of course." Apollo could hear Klavier wink through the phone, but he was too flustered at what the prosecutor actually said to point it out. He wants to go out for dinner?! Like, that's totally a date kind of thing, right? I mean, I guess it could just be a friends thing, but he actually specified it'd just be us...
