Eight rolled around quickly, and when it did, Levi had about fifteen minutes to prepare. He dressed in his favorite dark grey button down and black jeans. On his shoulders was his favorite black jacket, and though he was dressed to the brim of colorless attire, he was excited for their evening out together. Sasha was a riot after all… But she could drink an entire bottle of liquor to herself.
Levi pulled up to Sasha’s apartment building a few minutes early, but as expected, she was not ready. He pulled into the parking garage to wait, assuming it would be at least another twenty minutes. In the meantime, he turned up the volume on his stereo, some angry punk garbage band now blasting his eardrums out. It was alright, in Levi’s mind. He knew Sasha liked to headbang, and this was exactly her type of music to do that to.
He scrolled through his Instagram feed as he waited. Dozens of beautiful men filled his home page. Levi smiled as attractive men flew past his eyes. Brunet, redhead, tall, short, buff, skinny, ooh… Blonde. Blonde with blue eyes and a strong chin. Levi’s eyes lit up.
Suddenly the passenger door flew open, and a burst of energy entered.
“Who’s ready to partyyyy?!”
Startled, Levi turned his head quickly. Ah… Just Sasha. Of course.
“Hey, what’s gotten you so smiley?” She asked, reaching for Levi’s phone.
“Oh, it’s…” Levi clicked off his phone and pocketed it quickly. “Nothing. You ready to go?”
“Yeah, and I’ve got the perfect place in mind.”
“Oh, I thought we could go to-“
“Now now. You’re making it up to me, I pick the place. Don’t worry though, it’s not too far away!” She exclaimed as she dragged the seatbelt across her lap.
Levi drove Sasha to the bar she had requested, some place he’d never heard of on the outskirts of Manhattan. For some reason, Sasha refused to tell him the name of the place, and he absolutely didn’t recognize the location. As he pulled into the parking lot of this bar, Levi’s jaw dropped.
“You’re kidding, Sasha…” Levi said, incredulously. “The Cockpit? What kind of fucking place is this?!”
“This is how you’re going to make it up to me for being a dick, got it? Now get your ass inside!” She demanded, giggling. Sasha hopped out of the car and darted into the building, leaving Levi astonished in the driver’s seat.
The first thing he noticed when he stepped inside the bar was the sheer amount of people inside. That and the rainbow flags declared proudly all about the place. He couldn’t believe Sasha… Bringing him to a gay bar like this. Sure, he was gay, openly so. But that didn’t mean he wanted to take his employee to a place where he would be freely hit on by men. The next thing Levi noticed was the men. Oh god, the men. So many! Some hot, some… not. But everyone was having a wonderful time and the confidence in the air was intoxicating.
Levi found Sasha chatting away with the bartender, asking him about every drink on the menu, absolutely astonished by the selection.
“Cherry and strawberry?! So many fruity flavors!” As Levi approached her, he swore she had stars in her eyes.
“If you could start a tab for her, please.” Levi said to the bartender, who nodded to Levi.
The bartender was taller than Levi with quite nice dirty blonde, and brown hair that somewhat covered his eyes. He didn’t have the most overt friendly attitude, but he seemed well liked in the bustling bar. The patrons all flirted with him, especially the drunk ones, but the man, who Levi came to know as Jean, was not at all receptive to any advances. Levi wasn’t even sure if he was gay, though he assumed he was, since he worked at this rainbow bar.
