elf bakugou x elf reader (fluff) part 1

          This was the day of the festival and I got ready cause I had to perform. I needed to wear my traditional kimono, it was red and white it was very nice compared to my regular one. I started to get ready, tho I was pretty nervous, to be honest. it was kinda scary I wish I didn't have to go. it was the mate festival, which means I have to find my mate. "this is so stupid." I thought to myself. "as if anyone would love me I'm ugly and way too smart anyone to like me I'm a book worm. I hated the fact that I am like this. even growing up my parents always said I need to lose the books and look for a guy. I get that this stuff is important but I want to be me for me. books have been always been my safe place. being in a world of make-believe.

          I pushed aside my thoughts and started to get ready. I practiced the dance before I got dressed. after I fixed my hair and I'm kimono. I was still really nervous and not ready for this at all. as I started to get ready I looked into a window and saw my reflection and felt more at ease. I looked pretty good in the kimono. I walked out of my house to the festival and saw 2 of my friends, Todoroki, and Deku. I ran to them and yelled, "Todoroki, Deku" I waved to them.  they smiled softly and waited for me once. I was able to catch up to them. they were both elves as well.

          We started to catch up, it's been a while since we've talked. "you look really good y/n that kimono brings out your eyes," Deku said softly. I blushed softly and looked away. "thank you Deku," I said. Todoroki joined the conversation and said, "Deku is right it really does, you look wonderful tonight". I was kinda surprised when he said that but it was still nice to hear. it boosted my mood quite a bit. I started to walk with to where I was going to perform. it was a pretty easy and short performance so it wasn't that hard. I wasn't that nervous anymore well besides the whole- mate thing.

          soon enough it was time for me to perform it was just dusk and all the lamps were lit. I really didn't want to do this at all. "this is stupid" I thought as I got on the stage and looked at everyone watching. the music started and it took a deep breath and started. I ignored everyone cause I hated this with every fiber of my being. I don't even know why I have to do this. soon enough it was done. I heard everyone clapping and I looked away and got off stage. I tried to run to Todoroki and Deku but I was blocked as if this day could get worse. I was so annoyed with this. "I swear if this is another elf looking for a mate. he was tall and blonde. his kimono wasn't neat. part of his chest was showing. he smelled of Carmel. he grabbed my arm and tugged me to the side. "dude what's your problem" I asked annoyed. he looked at me like I was less than him and said, "listen you're going to be my mate". I was so mad when he said that what was his problem.

I managed to get away from him and ran to Todoroki and Deku and we started to talk. "Hay Y/n what took you so long," Deku asked. I could tell he cares. I smiled and said, "just some male elf wanted me to be his mate but I managed to get away". Deku nodded and they said they are going to get some soba. I had some time alone but nothing to do. I was really nervous that I was going to run into that guy again I really didn't want to have to deal with him again. he scared me to another level. what if I wasn't able to get away. I shook that thought after a few minutes.

          I decided to look around and I found that guy again, or rather- he found me. I started to run the other way. I got stuck by a fence and I was trapped. he caught it up to me. I didn't know what to do. I covered my head with my arms. "please don't hurt me don't force me into anything I don't even know you" I screamed. he stopped for a second. I lowered my arms and looked at him as tears fell now my face. "listen- to me can you promise you won't run away or scream" he said. I nodded and put my arms down. "can we please just get to know each other first"
