Chaptet 5: The family

We walked through the door and his family were all sitting in the living room. When they saw us they had huge smiles on their faces. In his family there was his mom, dad, two sisters except one was a sister in law and his brother and a brother in law. The first person to come up to us was his Mom and dad, Theresa and Rick Kaepernick. "It is nice to finally meet you" she said. I really felt a warm welcome into their family. We walked into the house more and I started to get to know everyone. Colin's sister in law was the first to ask if we had any pictures of the baby. Of course we said yes. We showed them the pictures and then we went to sit down to eat. While at dinner we talked about the baby's future and finacial things and how often would Colin see the baby's especially since we don't live together. After the talk about the baby we started to talk about Colin and his past and his mom and sister Devon told a lot of funny and cute stories. After long talks and looking at old baby pictures of Colin we left to go home. The car ride was a little quiet. "Your family is very nice" I said trying to break the silence. "You mean very embarrassing" he said. We really didn't have anything to talk about in the car or anywhere. He dropped me off at home and walked me to the door. We said goodnight and went separate ways. I went in my room, did my normal night routine and sat on my bed with my covers covering my legs. I had the ultrasound pictures in my hand and I was just staring at it. Colin wants a boy so he could teach him football but I want a girl so I could do her hair and dress her in great clothes. I feel like our baby is going to be very spoiled. I don't mind having a boy at all. Either will make me happy. Colin has a football game tomorrow so I want to go to bed early because now that I am pregnant I have been going to sleep much later and waking up really late. I put the ultrasound picture on the nightstand and went to bed. I felt like everything was amazing and perfect.
