The Alignment Of The Witches

December 6th, 2009
Upon my arrival back to Mystic Falls, slight detours had stopped me from returning at the arrival back to school after Thanksgiving Break. A family of witches I used to run with who lived in Cleveland, Ohio were being tormented by vampires due to their growing power as they neared the full moon. Their background came from an old line of werewolves which originated in my current lifetime's home state of Kansas, witches were combined into the mix creating witches that were inherently more powerful towards the nearing of astrological events. Now the full moon was over, my heightened awarenesses overcame, I returned to the Boarding House which was in further despair to dust than when I had left. In my absence, Elena had also managed to discover a photo of Katherine and had been kidnapped by Damon in a very short span of time. Stefan had made an alliance with Bonnie's grandmother, Sheila, by saving Bonnie from a collapsed tomb under Fell's Church. Sheila and Bonnie were both now aware of my residence in Mystic Falls as another witch, as allies. Stefan had also been doing some digging on Elena's heritage, discovering that Grayson Gilbert and Miranda Sommers-Gilbert were her adopted parents, which led to the question of who her real ancestors were. There was also a new unidentified vampire in town.

Both myself and Caroline had met in the Mystic Grill after my disappearance on the morning after Stefan's birthday, I revealed to her that my best friend had died, not wanting to stay after her death, I had left for a while. The blonde was understanding, giving me a much-needed hug after we ate lunch together, which again was rudely interrupted by the Lockwoods who were eating lunch at another table. Bonnie and I had run into each other a while after I left Caroline, she had requested for me to meet with her and her grandmother, the exact meeting I was arriving at now. I didn't even need to knock on the door as the woman I assumed to be Sheila was waiting for my arrival, she invited me in for us to sit down together in her quaint living room, pouring us all a cup of chamomile tea.

"How are you so old?" Bonnie blurts, setting down her mug which receives a stern look from her grandmother prompting her to quickly apologise.
"No, no need to apologise I know all of this can be confusing, it was for me when I first began. I'm under a curse, one that your ancestor Emily helped me create, we were good friends when she lived here, your ancestors have taught me many things." I assure, taking another sip of tea as we all begin to confer. The satisfaction of being surrounded by my own kind was immeasurable, being stuck with vampires for so long made me realise how much I was truly longing for new, alive, company. Talking with the Bennett's had united us in an allegiance of sorts, it ended with me promising I would protect Bonnie from harm and to come to them If I was in need.
"Did you know? That I was a witch before we met." Bonnie queries, looking up towards me from the swirling dread of her cup.
"Yes. Or at least I suspected. Due to my connections with Bennett witches of the past, your abilities call out to me as mine most likely do for you. Myself and your ancestors have been allies for generations, allegiance runs strong with witches, we look out for each other." I explain, giving her the softest smile of assurance I could muster.
"It was nice to have you, Marielle. But Bonnie and I have taken up a lot of your time already." Sheila states, rising from her seat to clear up our dirty mugs.
"Indeed, it's been a few hours," I respond, turning to Bonnie.
"If there's anything either of you need, give us a shout, for you, I'm only ever a phone call away." I guarantee as my hands clutch hold of the leather straps of my bag. Sheila walks me out, wishing me well before I step out of the threshold. Another bond formed, another tie to Mystic Falls.
