Friday
I'm going ice skating with Taylor soon and I'm really nervous. I have like eight coats and three pairs of thermal pants on, but I'm still scared. I also have my gloves and hat, of course.
I turn around to get my phone and it's 7:32, Taylor is here.
I waddle downstairs, almost falling after I caught my coat on a nail sticking out from the railing. Another thing my dad's too lazy to fix.
"Bye mom, bye dad," I say as I leave.
I get in the car and realize that when I tripped down the stairs I ripped a huge hole through all of my coats.
What am I gonna do?! I should've just said no, but Taylor's my best friend and I love her to death. I didn't want to hurt her feelings.
After our ten minute drive, which felt like an eternity to me, we arrived at the rink.
I need to think of a plan. They're all getting out of the car and I'm trying to stall by zippering my jacket.
"Are you coming?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah," I replied.
I slowly get out of the car, not intentionally, though. I legit can barely move. We walk in and I can already feel the cold air hitting my exposed skin. I look down and see a blonde streak in my hair. This isn't good.
