𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 [Akaashi Keiji x oc]

As soon as i came, i realized that i'm the first one waiting here. No sight of anyone. I checked the time and it still was 4:17am.

Looking around and enjoying the night sky beauty, i spotted a familiar figure coming closer to me.

"Good morning Koemi-chan." she greeted me with a smile on her face. "Morning, Kiyoko-san." i replied when she giggled "I see that it never changes. Us managers showing up first every time when it comes to something like this." and i couldn't agree more.

We were talking about the up coming week. The whole week surrounded by boys from different volleyball teams. It was our first camp in a long while so we were kinda excited what to expect.

I was Karasuno's manager since i entered this school last year. I've loved volleyball and wanted to continue my 'career' but once i met the boys i couldn't leave them. They somehow etched into my heart.

THE START OF LAST YEAR

Walking through our  school coridors, my ears chatched a familiar sound of squeaking soles on the gym ground. I followed the direction from which this noise was comming from. I opened one big doors and then looked through another which were already opened.

Boys roughly smashing volleyballs to the ground and one girl carefully watching their actions. I left my creature in this position for a bit, fascinated by this all.

I spotted a familiar person on the other side of the gym. He was trying to strike back attacks of volleyballs. Something told me that he is team's libero. It looked like he was doing his job perfectly.

Now i decided to open doors completly and my body went inward.

(third person pov)

The girl now shifted her attention from boys to Koemi. She was scaning Koemi's figure and the sparks in her eyes. First thought which crossed her mind was 'having second girl manager by my side could be awesome'.

The second day, Koemi went to the gym once again. The black with a reflection of blue haired girl  walked over to her. "They are pretty impressive right?" she said. "Y-yeah." Koemi replied still absorbed by boys playing.

"I'm Shimizu Kiyoko, manager of this Carasuno volleyball team. Nice to meet you."  she said quietly. "I-i'm Yoshida Koemi. Sorry for interrupting, I-i c-coudn't help but just come when i heared volleyball noises coming from here. And then yesterday w-when i saw what these boys can do, i had to come once again." Koemi explained her actions.

"Heyyy Yoshida-chan!" shouted Nishinoya while he was waving at Koemi. "Hey!" she replied while waving back and smiling.

"Do you know him?" Kiyoko asked gently. "Yeah, we're in the same class." Sudenly all the boys gathered around Kiyoko and Koemi.

"Who is this beautiful girl?"

"Is she going to be our second manager?"

"What's your name?"

Boyish voices began to sound around. "I'm K-koemi." she was just smiling and didn't know what else to say. 'They really want me to be their second manager?' she thought.

"What do you say about you come again tommorow in your gym clothes?" Kiyoko suggested. Boys were waiting for her response.

They really looked like they wanted her to come. 'What about my volleyball practices? Am i gonna be their manager and give up on my "career"? O-okay lets give this a chance.'

With a soft smile she responded "I'd love to."

She was happy that she decided to show up the another day. Her manager career started. As the days passed by, Koemi was becomming closer and closer with every single on of them.

(first person pov)

Kiyoko is one year older than me but we are now really close friends. We spend most of the time together consider to us being on every training of boys. I feel like i can tell her almost everything.

Boys started showing up one after another. "Kiyoko-san, you look absolutely beautiful today!" Tanaka couldn't keep that for himself, but we all were used to it. Kiyoko just inconspicuously blushed and everything around kept going. Their sleepy bodies trembling around.

I went closer to Nishinoya and as soon as he spotted me, he looked like i brought him back to life. "Are you looking forward Koemi-chan?" he asked with a wide smile on his face.

"Of course i am! I don't know what to expect but this makes it even more fun. You guys should use this opportunity and give it your best" i said. "You know that i'm gonna give my best as usual Koe." he replied with a small smirk on his face.

I knew him really well and if he says something like this he'll keep his word. Sitting next to him in a class, second year in a row brought me to this state of thinking. Boys have always seen Noya like someone who is strong and can survive hard situations.

"And what about you? Are you looking forward Nishinoya-kun?" i calmly asked. "I can't wait to see Tokyo! The city! But also the practice matches with powerful teams. We can learn much this week."

I turned around and saw that coach Ukai is already here. I made my way straight up to him. We got on the bus after we checked if we're all here. Hinata and Kageyama will join us later because they need to finish their supplementary exams.

Sitting next to Kiyoko, i tried to reach for my headphones in my bag. After a while of small trouble i finally find them. Pressing shuffle button in my playlist i closed my eyes and fully fall to another world in my head.
