Tonde did not blink, he did not flinch, he stared at detective Chimera as if pitying him, that superiority look of 'I am smarter than you, so you might as well give up'. Indeed he was smarter than detective Chimera, what with all his intelligence, but all that intelligence did not stop him from doing the dumbest thing anyone can ever do....
Tonderai Mabwara had been a Biology teacher at Pakumi High School for about 5 years now. He was in every way, a typical high school Biology teacher. He felt he was smarter than everyone, he enjoyed making his students feel like they would not measure up no matter how hard they tried and he was annoying, like I said, a typical high school Biology teacher. He was one of those teachers that never took sick days, the ones that showed up for every class on time and the ones that looked for small reasons to beat their students, pretty much the 'perfect' teacher.
There had been a temporary student teacher at the school. Linda Ndlovu, a very attractive and intelligent young woman who Tonde had immediately found attractive and made his move. They dated for a very long time, even when Linda moved away. Tonde was still at Pakumi and would regularly visit Linda. He was quite the gentleman to her.
