Today at Cynthia's work came a group, named cobra kai to celebrate their win at the championship. Cynthia thought it was dumb that they fought to win something. She thought wrestling was dumb too.
Luckily she didn't have to serve them. While handing out the drinks to the table next to them the guy with a mohawk asked for drinks.
"can we please get some refills? they're all cokes expect for this one," he points to his "this one is apple juice," he says turning red and she nods to take their drinks for a refill and back.
"and apple juice for you," she says putting it down and smiling.
Wow finally some nice customers.
The whole day was busy, she hadn't ate all day but at least she was getting paid more. After the big group left all she had to do was clean her table to leave and go on her daily rides.
Today she was feeling too tired so she decided to just get her slushee.
"you're early today!" says Matt.
"yes, i'm too tired today," she says smiling.
"i feel you," he tells her as she's picking out new items.
"today is the last day i'm working night shifts." matt says. Cynthia stops what she's doing, "what why?"
"my mom doesn't want me working late since of the robbery at the other 7-11. and since i enjoy working here i'm working day shifts now." he tells her.
"mane, you're the only worker that knows my usuals and i actually like," she tells the young boy.
"i left them a note for you, and u can always come in the mornings." he says smiling.
"it's not the same though, but hey gotta keep yourself safe. here i'll give u my snap so we can hang out at night," she giggles and gives it to him.
"thanks favorite customer," he says and then scans her items. today she was feeling hungry hungry so she got her slushee, takis, hot dog, and a rice krispy."
"your total is 7.85" matt tells her and cynthia hands him a 10.
"keep the change!" she says smiling and hugs him over the counter, "i'll stop by on sunday morning hopefully," she says smiling and leaving to her car.
Today she was feeling like a Clairo day so she put that on and she also felt adventurous to head to the city.
She got home late at 11:30 pm, when she got home her mom was furious but also very drunk.
"what are you home so fucking late!" her mom screamed.
"there was traffic mom, i'm sorry." she told her truthfully.
"don't you lie to me young lady! you were probably sleeping around just like your dad!"
"mom, i promise you-" cynthia stopped arguing with her because she was drunk and it wouldn't matter. "come mom let's get you to bed," she says taking her to her room. "i love u mom" she told her.
Cynthia couldn't believe she said that about her dad. it hurt her. she missed him a whole lot. they only got to see him during birthdays. and it was only half a day.
The next morning was Sunday, she got up to make breakfast for her family and to clean. She woke up her mom and siblings when everything was ready.
"yay pancakes!" said the youngest who was 5, "thank you cyn" he told her.
"ofc," she said giving him a hug.
the second oldest wasn't really a morning person, she was 8, "thanks cynthia" cynthia nodded.
"wow this is so good cynthia! thank you sweetie," her mom said throwing her a kiss.
she loved seeing her family eat together. sunday's were the only day they really did that. only the two youngest ate together each day.
when they finished, Cynthia made them get ready for the day. She was going to 7-11 just like she promised Matt.
An hour later and she was heading to the gas, the kids were picky of what they wore and complained a lot.
"hey matt!" she said
"hey! they yours?" he asks surprised
"nope. they're my little siblings," she says smiling.
"oh cool, they look like you rhats why," he said with a small laugh.
"oh god if they were mind i would be here more often," she whispers and giggles.
"okay kids go get your snacks," she tells them and grabs three slushees for them.
"wow u guys that's a lot," she says looking at them, "don't tell mom okay?" she says playing with them and they nod their head.
"your total will be 15," matt tells her.
she hands him a 20 and as usual she tells him to keep change. "thanks matt! see you sunday!" she says waving with her opposite hand as she's holding the youngest's hand.
"see you sunday kiddo!" Matt wasn't much older than cynthia, in fact Matt and cynthia knew each other in school before Matt graduated, Cynthia has always been ahead of her classes so she's always had classes with older people.
"do you guys wanna go to the park?" Cynthia asked, obviously both kids screamed yes making her ears hurt. She took them to the park, and saw the mohawk boy again. She hoped he hadn't remembered her.
The kids sit on the blanket and eat their snacks while drinking their slushees. Cynthia read them the book they were reading for the month. They enjoyed hearing her read. They enjoyed everything about her actually. She was always spoiling them and helping them on their education. She loved playing with them just as they loved playing with her.
A ball rolls over to them and the young boy gets up to kick it. He was in soccer, it was the only sport he enjoyed.
"wow! you're a great kicker," said the red mohawk guy as he sticks his hand to high five the young boy.
"thanks," says the boy high fiving him.
"hey you look familiar, have i seen you somewhere," he asks cynthia.
"idk maybe school or work," she tells him not looking at him. he nods, "well thanks buddy for the ball." he says as he walks away.
" wipe ur hand Jacob," she tells the young boy and hands him hand sanitizer with wipes.
"continue reading please, i wanan know what happens," says bella the 8 year old.
Cynthia continues to read and after 10 minutes she puts the book away. "okay now it's tickle timeeeee," she says ticking the two kids. making them laugh uncontrollably.
By 3 in the afternoon they're back at home. They brought pizza to eat with their mom.
"mom!mom!mom!" jacob yells, the mom
comes, "there are my sweet children!" she tells them.was she not going to apologize to Cynthia?
Cynthia at this point didn't care. She just wanted her mom to be more responsible
