chapter two

chapter two- don't be such a sour wolf

as we walk into the outer banks, it feels like such a relief, because we made it. i don't know why it feels like a relief, maybe because somewhere in the back of my mind i thought we'd either get caught, or just not make it because we got kidnapped or murdered or something stupid like that- or i thought at least i would. 

it was around 3am and we didn't expect anyone to be up, but there was a party at.. the boneyard? i think thats what some drunk guy that had just thrown up on the sidewalk said. anyways, that was good for me and alex, we love parties that run throughout the whole night so then we can watch the sunrise together.

we ditched our bags in a bush off the side of the road and started to walk over to what looked like the keg. yep, there's the guy serving people. wow, actual gentlemen here. now this is why i don't make promises- especially ones i can't keep. but i'll try.

"hey, you new? never seen you around before." this brunette guy with sunglasses and a cap says to me.

"uh, yeah. me and my friends just got here. any tips on which bench is the comfiest?" i ask, then laugh.

"ooh, runaways, now that is attractive." some blonde guy with a red baseball cap says from behind the brunette.

"ooh, a player." i say and grab my drink, "eh, not really my type. but thanks for the offer." i wink at him, then walk away.

maria runs up to me "omg, that was so cool!" she says, "he looks so cute, can i go talk to him?" she then asked me.

"why would you my need permission for that?" i say, then laugh and maria walks off.

"hey bitch" alex shouts to me whilst i was sitting on the sand next to the waves.

"hey hoe" i say back "who were you doing this time?"

"oh no one..." alex says with a smirk. "just that hot boy over there" she points.

"ooh, whats his name?" i question, intrigued.

"rafe cameron" alex tells me.

"was it good?"

"no." alex deadpanned, then she smiles "of course it was. how could a guy that hot make it bad?"

"i dunno. he looks small." i reply

"how dare you!!" alex says and we both start laughing.

me and alex just sit next to each other watching the waves, when maria comes back with a huge grin on her face.

"ooooh. did'a talk to the guy??" i ask her.

"no." she says, "well yeah, but he introduced me to his friend, kiara and she was so cool! she asked me if i was here alone and i told her about you guys and she asked if we wanted to join her friendship group, because she's the only girl, and i told her we'd love too... right?"

"i mean..."       "sure!!" alex and i say at the same time.

"really? i mean, we've never even met them." alex asks.

"don't be such a sour wolf." i say and smirk. "c'mon it'll be funnnnn" i plead.

"ok, ok." alex agrees.

"yay!!" i exclaim.

"uh oh. its already 5am. i want to get some sleep before tomorrow." maria says. "ugh, but where are we going to sleep??"

"first, it already is tomorrow." alex says.

"and second" i join in "we can sleep here. comfy enough, right?"

"alright."
