They say the camera added ten pounds.

Clearly these people in question had never had the pleasure of meeting Roman Carvalho.

While he may have looked dashing and beautiful on TV with Lucas Lawson on ‘Celebrity Status’, he looked more like an angel coming to bless the earth when I saw him up close and personal.

And I knew that he sure as hell knew it.

His hair was still pushed back just like how it'd been on the talk show and he was still wearing the same sleek, sexy suit that could easily give Christian Grey a run for his money. The only difference was the way his bright blue eyes twinkled when they took in the sight of me, as if he was a child and I was his new plaything.

I regretted not slamming the door shut then and there.

"I'm not A." I said bluntly. "I'm not and never will be A."

Roman's expression changed to one of light amusement.

"Our contract says otherwise."

That goddamned contract!

"I'm not sexy, or beautiful or talented like all of the other girls who are waiting in line for you, Roman. Why do you insist on making my life miserable?"

He smirked at me. "Because it's fun."

"I don't understand how you can be so excruciatingly annoying and still have a fan base the size of--"

"Shut up." He suddenly said, making me do just that. First I was too stunned to continue, but once I realised how offended I was I narrowed my eyes and opened my mouth to blow up at him.

How dare he tell me to shut up! Who does he think he is?

"Don't tell me to--"

All of a sudden he was inside my house and I was pressed against my now closed front door. I didn't even have time to wonder how he'd gotten us into this position so quickly; because I was too busy being stunned into silence.

Roman was against me, again, and this time he was so close I was sure he could feel my rapid heartbeat.

As soon as I regained control of my voice I said, "What the hell are you--?"

"I said shut up." He interrupted again, this time placing a hand over my mouth so I would stay shut up. It was only then I noticed how he wasn't really paying any attention to me, more so the sounds coming from outside on my patio.

I stayed silent, listening closely for what exactly his eagle ears were picking up on. Truthfully, it was hard, but only because I was uncomfortably aware of how I was only wearing a thin singlet that was not nearly enough to block the heat radiating off him. I was getting warmer by the second and I knew my cheeks were getting flushed.

Why was I so awkward?

Suddenly I heard the sound of camera shutters followed by a bright white light seeping in through the bottom of the door, and I quickly caught on to what was going on.
