ALL PLAY NO WORK [lisa x reader fluff]

"C'mon cutie, a little break won't hurt.." Lisa pleaded. It's midnight, almost early morning and both of you are tired. However, only one of you is focused on your assigned task. You wanted to get these papers finished by the end of today, but a certain librarian has been nagging you for a troublesome amount of time. Though Lisa also had her own work to do, it'd long been discarded and pushed to the side. If she decides to slack off, she might as well take you down with her. Besides, procrastinating feels better when someone else is procrastinating with you. The light of the pale moon is a hard contrast to the void of a sky, somewhat similar to the last remaining hopeful energy and sanity you have versus the mage beckoning you to give in. Your eyes felt droopy, almost as if they had weight. Your movement was sluggish, but you couldn't let yourself be taken over by either sleepiness or the absolute succubus of a librarian next to you. 

"Cutieee..." Lisa whined more, playing with your hair in an attempt to distract you. 

"Lisa." You reply, almost as a warning.

"Finally, I got something out of you~" It backfires, and you feel as though you've stepped right into a trap. You don't talk back, careful to not make the same mistake twice in a row.

"Y'know, staying up so late causes wrinkles. I don't want my little darling to get all shriveled like a raisin, though I'll still love you juuusst the same. My little raisin is a cute nickname anyway~" You feel like choking at that last line. You can't let her get to your head.. don't give her a reaction... just.. keep working....

Staying awake is a bit hard when you're being sweet talked with a sweet voice you could easily fall asleep to. Already, you can feel yourself drifting away. You try to snap out of it, but Lisa has already noticed. She giggles at your predictability. "Trying hard to stay awake, sweetie?" You give her the silent treatment. Must. Not. Give. In. "You're so dedicated to work cutie, it's admirable! I can make you coffee if you so desire." You finally look up at her and give a small nod. You hear her shifting to get up and hear her leave, her heels clacking in the Knights of Favonius' headquarters. A perfect opportunity to get work done! You immediately clear your head of any meddling thoughts or fog to focus, and jump on your assignments.

With the rustling of leaves from the trees outside as your ambience, you worked quietly and quickly. The peace is abruptly interrupted however, as Lisa has returned with coffee. "I'm back, sweetheart! Did you miss me? I hope so."

She sets the cup of coffee down besides you, and returns to sit by your side. You take a sip. The coffee fills your body with warmth, and comfort washes over you. With comfort however, comes the desire to sleep right where you are. Your eyelids feel heavier than before, almost as if weighed down by ball and chain and you feel your body slump a bit. "Mmm..." You groaned. Lisa chuckles a bit. "I brewed you coffee to help you in staying awake, but instead it makes you tired? This is working out a little too well, haha~" The brunette pulls you away from your chair and responsibilities while you're in a moment of vulnerability, and embraces you in her warm arms. Almost instantly, you fell asleep. Lisa hums at the sight of her cutie in her arms, fit almost like the last piece to a puzzle. She combed your hair through her fingers, running through each strand before setting you on a nearby chair.

Lisa sat down where you previously sat, your body warmth still lingering on the chair. She starts to pick up where you last left off, planning to finish off your work.

If her cutie could have even one day where they can play freely with her all day, with no work burdened on their shoulders for them to worry about, then Lisa would go through all kinds of work to get there.

No matter the cost.
