george looked around, it was busy. he was unsure where he was supposed to be seated and there was no teacher in the room yet.
he stood at the front of his english classroom staring at the rows of desks where people sat, he could spot a few empty seats but wasn't sure if they were dedicated seats or if he could sit anywhere, something stuck out in his head though, he remembered karl had mentioned something about someone named nick in his english class. he looked around for someone who suited the name nick but unfortunately, he wasn't a mind reader and couldn't tell.
he soon realised that many people were giving him awkward glares. his cheeks flushed a light pink as he grew embarrassed and walked to the back of the class, he saw plenty of empty seats there but wasn't sure if they were reserved or not so he just stood awkwardly and looked at the possible seats, he was so panicked he hadn't noticed the person talking to him.
"hello? you going to sit?" a boy with medium brown hair, brown eyes who was wearing a white turtleneck with a baggy black shirt overtop and a bandana wrapped loosely around his forehead was slumped in his chair slightly whilst looking up at george.
george quickly realised someone was talking to him. "h-huh?"
"were you not listening to a word i said?" the boy chuckled a little sitting it up more.
"uh- yeah sorry." george was growing even redder in embarrassment as he felt his cheeks burn up.
"u can sit down if you'd like." the boy directed his hand to the seat next to him.
george quietly took a seat next to the brown-haired boy and started to fiddle with the hem of his skirt.
"your new, right?" the brunette asked politely.
"yeah." he couldn't keep eye contact with the boy as he started directly at his feet below him.
"well then nice to meet you, im nick."
"nick?" he sat up in his seat slightly as he turned to face him.
nick noticed the change in his behaviour "yes, is there something wrong with that?" he chuckled slightly.
"oh, no sorry. uh- your friends with karl?"
"yeah, let me guess he talked to you?"
george nodded, still fiddling around with his skirt.
"yeah, we've been friends for quite some time, hes chill. now may I ask your name, so I don't need to refer to you as the new boy?"
"oh yeah, sorry. i'm george." he smiled slightly at nicks friendliness.
"alright then, nice to meet you george."
george was about to reply when an older woman with dark hair walked into the room.
"hello students, sorry i'm late but good news, today we have someone new in our class. would u like to introduce yourself george?"
soon all eyes were on him he felt his cheeks grow hot again. "u-uh i'm george, i'm 17, i like coding and i moved here from the uk." he cursed at himself mentally for stuttering.
