Sanji still remembers the day she rejected her own childhood bestfriend, luffy. He was hilarious and pretty childish. They both met when they were around four years old. Their families were pretty close so they became friends almost immediately.
(A/N: sanji's dad and brothers aren't assholes here, infact they are a happy family.)
The two had grown inseparable, at one point they showered once together but that was only once. Instead of that, sanji and luffy did everything together and their friendship grew and became closer than ever.
Around the age of fourteen, Sanji had to convice her family that they were only friends but her brothers weren't having it and even suggested that one of them will stay by her side like a bodyguard, but sanji reassures them nonstop. She cringed at the thought of having a 'body guard'. Like if that's ever going to happen..
She wasn't some kind of damsel in distress, she can take care of herself and she dosen't need no boy! Speaking of boys.. sanji never had a real crush before, sure she flirted with some guys but that dosen't mean there were any feelings involved. Can't she just flirt cause she feels like it?
I mean- she did that. But she still thinks boys are gross and they are all just the same, and it's one of the reasons why she rejected luffy. She had no interest in dating but luffy was determined to change her mind. Pssh, as if you can.
They still remained friends after that day, surprisingly.
But that was years ago. It happened when they were still in eighth grade, so it's probably best to forget about it since luffy probably has too.
For now sanji will focus on her present, Surviving college.
