Thank you guys so much for being super supportive and sweet. I really appreciate it and it motivates me. I decided to update now even though I'm supposed to be doing hmw lol and writing another book.
(edit: I'm dying from school and writers block sorry.)

(edit edit of the edit: I've come back from the dead for a bit of time to write you something. I hope it keeps you satisfied.)

I sat upright from my chair and groaned from the stiffness in my back. I had fallen asleep writing, again. My back ached and sent sharp pains up my nerves as I tried to straighten it. I looked to the soft furry ball that was softly snoring on my desk.

"Good morning Karl, we fell asleep at work again. I hope this doesn't give me a hunch back." I said softly, still groggy from not sleeping properly. I raised my hand to see the ink stains on them and I blinked.

It felt like I was meant to do something, but I forgot. I sat back in my chair and went through my mind as to what it could be. I looked at my drafts on the table and decided to organize them while I tried to remember.

Karl yawned as he woke up, his eyes focusing on me as I moved around. My home was an organized choas, as I liked to describe it. Because I'd trip over boxes of books I had written.

The house had it's calm silence, when at night if the wind blew hard enough there would be a faint whistle. It's old wool paneled floors were stained by my attempts to dodging boxes with ink bottles in my hands. Random pages littered the ground as crushed balls of paper did too.

I successfully dodged the stray boxes of books in my living room and traveled to the bathroom. The smell of ink was too strong to handle. I still couldn't figure out what I was forgetting. I was sure I bought more coffee and food supplies to last me the week.

I winced to myself remembering the awkward looks when I wanted to pay. I shivered and turned the handle for cold water.
T

he cold water filled up the tub halfway and I stopped it, I opened the hot water and watched the water rise a moment. I tested the luke warm water and deemed it close to perfect. I slowly got undressed and climbed into the water. Sighing in content, I went to work on the ink stains.

Though I couldn't remember what it was that I forgot.

I thought about my current mystery novel that I was writing. It has several murderers, and only two murder cases. It has the biggest plot twist of all, that I'm sure no one would figure out.

Not even Ranpo.

I smirked a bit, maybe this time I'd win. I felt a sense of hope grow inside my chest.
An image of his open gaze flashed in my mind and I paused.
He had beautiful eyes, and he was quite handsome, maybe I'm just appreciating his appearance.
I shrugged to myself and hummed as I washed myself.

After finishing up, I trudged to my room, leaving wet footprints after me. I thought of maybe adding that to the novel, something to lead him off. I grabbed clean clothes and got dressed. Karl sat on my bed, staring at me as I finished.

"Is there something I'm forgetting?" I looked at him, tilting my head slightly. He turned his head towards the only working clock in the house. I looked at the time, confused for a moment.

Then as an anchor plummeting into the deep blue waters of the see, realization dawned on me. As if time stopped for a moment and I squinted stupidly at the clock. As if the waves broke further upon a beach and washed over me, bringing me back, I started rushing around and entered the kitchen. I poured myself a cup of cold black coffee and grimaced. I'll make some more later. I grabbed my papers and waited for Karl to climb up and sit on my shoulder.

Without checking if he was stable or not I made my way towards the front door. Karl gently hit me with his tail and I knew I already forgot my house keys on the table. I walked back into the house with him still on my shoulder as I grabbed the keys. They clinked as I shuffled through them for the front doors key.

I finally got to the front door and stopped, before I left. I looked to Karl.

"Anything else?" Karl made a noise, and I knew I forgot my wallet. I gave him a soft smile.

"What would I do without you?" I turned to look away from his expression, knowing too well I'd be lying in a ditch without him.

I arrived at the agency, softly panting. I huffed and slowly made my composure calm. I nervously open the door with a familiarity as I usually did visit the Agency for Ranpo a lot. I pushed the door open and stopped in my tracks.

"Poe, hey!" I looked at Atsushi Nakajima standing in front of me, I gulped in nervousness. He seemed to be wary too.

"Oh hello. Is Ranpo not in?" I tried to look past him into the office. He moved into my sight and gave me a nervous smile and closed the door behind him so that we were standing outside. Alone, together.

"He's busy at the moment, he'll be with you now." He gave me a genuine smile, my anxiety spiked. He was being too nice- and he was noticing me. I recalled he was always nice, and he was with the Diablo, Ryunosuke Akutagawa. I gulped again, this man is dating a killer. I shouldn't try anything with him. Though I wonder if he would be able to solve my mysteries, the Diablo.
Or would he be like his fellow Port Mafia, Chuya Nakahara. Give up halfway and beat all the characters.

"Oh." Was the only thing that I could muster.

"I just needed to know something, it's rude of me to butt in but I'd like to know." He gave another of his nervous smiles. Did he want to read my book too?

"Yes?" I asked, he let out a deep breath and gave me a serious stare.

"Are you in love with Ranpo? Are you two dating?" He asked, making a serious face. I stared at him blankly.

"What?" I whispered. He reduced to his nervous state and waited.

I considered what was dating again and came to a blank sheet. It had no scribbles of it. No, I didn't even know what dating consisted of so I couldn't understand what he was asking of me.
I thought of the former thing he said and thought about it. I didn't hate him, I did think fondly of him. I looked away to try and consider it more.

I looked back to the were-tiger and replied.

"I don't know."

He grimaced and walked back into the agency. He forgot I was following him and I slipped in behind him.

I saw one of Ranpos colleagues hold him down to the chair by simply putting his hands on his shoulders. It looked like the blonde boy who has the ability of some sort of super strength. Karl shifted a bit on my shoulder as I stared.

"Whats going on?" I asked, confused. The small girl, Kyouka, her name I think. She reached out and Karl jumped into her arms. I nodded to her and she returned the nod.

"My fellow Agency members were being pains, but let's go Poe." He stood up and the blonde boy let go. Ranpo walked over to me, and lead the way by opening the door and walked out. I followed in suit, and closed the door behind me, but before I did I heard Nakajima say something to the rest.

"He doesn't know. They're both oblivious." I scrunched my nose in confusion and closed the door with a click. I contemplated what he could mean.

Ranpo turned to me and studied my face. I relaxed it and he spoke.
"What are you thinking?" He asked as he turned to go down the hallway.

"Nothing of importance, you need not know."
