I stared nervously at the sidewalk. I don't know what I would do when I saw him again. I played with the hem of my shirt and Gin sighed next to me.

The night air was clean and crisp, a full moon was pale and shone brighter than the sun. I thought bitterly as the moon would always look at his fair sun. He'd never look at a mere cloud passing by.

I was slightly envious of her dainty beauty that she hid under her work clothing. She had beautiful long hair and her grace as an assassin is explained by her grace as a woman. She is too beautiful for being an assassin.

"Why didn't you dress up?" She asked me with a glance. Though she didn't look annoyed that I didn't dress up, or disappointed. I liked that. She was also nice, getting to know. I looked at her and replied.

"I didn't find a costume."

She dressed up as a princess. I hated to admit the look fit her too well.

I dressed up as myself. In casual clothes.

As per usual I failed in simple tasks.

"Thank you for inviting me." I said softly. She hummed and kept quiet. She kept quiet like her brother. Like him.
She didn't speak much at all really. I was taken aback when she invited me, since I wasn't aware that she had enjoyed our small chats.
Which were not many. I caught myself wondering if she felt sorry for me, because of my broken heart.
I wouldn't feel sorry at all for my past actions. In fact I would be burying a bullet in my own foot if it weren't for the fact I needed it.

He never spoke to me again. He never looked at me again. I simply stopped being there. He went to his sister instead. The Boss, Mori-san, had me do small errands since I wasn't being given work by Akutagawa.
I wish I could have been more accepting. I tried to apologize, and grew frightened if I were to apologize to the were-tiger Akutagawa-senpai would have me dead in an instant. I bitterly smiled at the thought.

"You could have asked me for help. I would have happily agreed to help you find a costume. You could have dressed up as princess too." She gave a small smile before she opened the doors leading up to the Agency's office. Faint music could be heard there. Halloween decorations littered the walls and spiders hung from the ceiling. I raised my eyebrows at the amount of effort they went through before looking to Gin again.

"I'd probably be more the Corpse bride or a Devil." I said bitterly before she opened the door to the office. The music and chatter washed over us and I blinked at the decorated room. Office workers were dressed up in different outfits and smiled happily. Though I didn't fail to notice the grimace as some of them recognized me.

Port Mafia has joined the party.

I wanted to ask Gin if she too remembered decorating the walls with bullet holes instead. I bit my tongue and kept quiet instead.

Gin looked at me with an emotion that looked close to pity, and for that moment I didn't like myself even more. I stood there awkwardly before watching Gin go to her brother and greet him. He didn't even glance my way, but the were-tiger did.
