Prologue

"Harrrryyyyyy Potterrrrr."

Harry jumped awake. He stared at the ceiling, trying hard to keep his breathing quiet as to not wake Ginny. He looked over at her, red hair flying in every direction, her legs wrapped around him with the entire blanked on her side of the bed.

Harry smiled. It was just a bad dream, he thought, but he couldn't shake the chilling feeling away. He hadn't had a nightmare like that in about twenty-four years.

He tried his best to recount the dream he had. He had just fallen asleep when he saw blurred hooded figures standing in a circle. He heard his name being called, except he knew it wasn't Voldemort. He was long gone, and this voice sounded like a woman.

That was all he was able to see before he had jumped awake. Oh well, he thought. That was nothing but a weird dream.

He kissed Ginny's forehead lightly before dozing off again, this time not much better than the first.

Harry could see the same group of people standing around a green fire, but their faces were blurred so he could not identify them.

"He's here, O Mistress!" said a raspy old male voice. "It worked! Tell him the plan!"

Harry heard laughter from several of the darkly cloaked figures. He looked around and noticed they were standing by the edge of a forest, but he couldn't identify which forest, or even the country they were in.

The so called 'Mistress' was average height and had brown hair, but Harry couldn't see anything else about her, as her face was blurred like the rest of them. She stepped forward and grabbed his face with her freezing cold, bony fingers.

"Thank you for coming so willingly, Harry," she said sweetly, but she could not mask the venom in her voice. "Then again, I used quite a powerful summoning spell on your mind, so you didn't really have a choice."

More laughter erupted from the dozen or so cloaked figures.

The woman continued. "You fought so bravely in the war, and you worked so hard to catch us, but," she stepped back and let go of his cheeks, and mimicked a baby voice. "You didn't catch all of us."

The figures standing around Harry clapped and cheered, like they had won something over him. In that moment, he was afraid they had.

After the war, he and Ron had become Aurors, and they hunted down all of Voldemort's supporters to send them to Azkaban. After some time had passed to build up his trust, they even worked with Draco Malfoy, as he knew more than they did about Death Eaters.

They were sure they had captured everyone. But now he was doubting it.

Harry opened his mouth to speak, but he was without a voice. The witch must have silenced him somehow.

She continued. "When that blood-traitor Auror, Draco Malfoy, came searching for me, he killed my son because he got in the way."

The witch sounded like she was about to cry. "My son!" She circled around Harry, aiming her wand in his face. "Now you tell Draco I'm going to kill his son!"

He couldn't picture who this woman was. Whose son did Draco kill?

She cackled maniacally, and the figures around them laughed too. "Now it's time to wake up, Harry. You don't want to be late for work!"

They continued laughing as the sun began to rise, and after a few seconds, Harry was back in his bed. He jolted awake with a terrible gasp.

"Ginny..." he said weakly, but with much urgency.

She turned on the light immediately and leaned over to look at her husband, her eyes wide in shock. "What's wrong, Har?"

He stared at her, not sure how to form the words.

"Voldemort's supporters," he began as he jumped out of bed and started to throw his clothes on. "We didn't catch them all!"

Ginny looked at him with horror. "Who didn't you catch?"

Harry's mind was reeling. "I... I don't know. I don't know her name."

Ginny continued to stare at him in shock.

"I need to go see Draco Malfoy," said Harry, as he put on the rest of his suit. "Whoever this witch is... she's going after his son, Ginny. We may need to pull our kids out of Hogwarts."

She got up and quickly pulled on her robe. "I'll put on a kettle."

He nodded. "We'll need it."
