Heart to heart

Idiosyncratic Minds

A teenager's life is very strange
We have beliefs which often change
Confused between our heart and mind
We want to enjoy but also have a career to find
All-day long on our phones scrolling on the internet
At late night with loads of homework have a heart full of regret
We frequently make timetables to go after
Later forget it all with the fun and laughter
We always do stupid stuff
And hear our parents say they've had enough
Our parents think we are dramatic
We are whiney, mischievous, and erratic
Don't they know that times have changed
People's thinking and perceptions are rearranged
All we strive for is peace and kindness
Because all these things are beautiful and priceless
