Kaoru can be relatively affectionate. Usually he'll give you a simple hug or kiss, but occasionally he'll shower you with affection. Imagine a tsunami, engulfing you beneath the waves, trapping you in a void of affection.

What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?

He didn't know you at first. He looked out his window one day and saw you fall off your bike on a curb, and when he saw you were seriously injured he ran out to help you. After a month of recovery you went back with a box of pastries and gave them to him as a thank you. You also wrote your number on the thank you card. Minor detail.

He hates it. You usually cuddle him to annoy him, and it works.

He really enjoys when you stay over, it makes him feel a sort of comfort that he can't yet describe. The man can do ANYTHING. Cleaning? Yep. Cooking? Hell yeah. You just know that he can whip up a MEAN smoothie if he feels like it.

He would ask you to sit down so that he can explain. After the breakup he would still probably want to remain friends.

It isn't one of his top priorities. He doesn't understand the concept of a paper deciding your relationship, so he's fine with just dating.

He would do anything within his power to make sure you are all right. This man is so freaking gentle, it's adorable. His soft little hugs and kisses are the absolute best. He knows what triggers you and steers clear of any of those topics unless it is absolutely necessary to talk about them.

He likes them. He wouldn't engage a hug himself unless he really wants to. So usually, you hug him and he hugs back. And, no joke, this man's hugs are so addicting. Like, does he add crack to them or something?

He trusts you. He knows that you won't cheat, although, if he sees a dude getting too close to you, emotionally and physically, he'll step it. He'll also make it pretty obvious you're taken (and no not by hicky's or anything, get your head out of the gutter).

He gives the best forehead kisses ever. They are just so soft, gentle, and loving, it's amazing. He enjoys when you kiss his cheek and nose, he thinks it's adorable.

How are they around children?

He isn't very fond of them, but he doesn't hate them either. He just learned to tolerate them. If you had a kid though, he would shower the kid with so much affection and be the best father anyone could ask for.

How are mornings spent with them?

When you both wake up, you just stay there in each other's embrace for 30 minutes. Then when you get up you make him pancakes while he sorts some leftover papers he had.

You usually go out and hang with your friends, and because Kaoru isn't particularly fond of social settings he'll stay home. When you get home he'd still be up waiting for you. Then you guys usually go to bed.

He honestly would reveal things at a pretty steady pace. He would totally value honesty in a relationship and thinks that it's the best way to become closer to someone.

When it comes to Joe, he loses his chill pretty easily. Otherwise, he is pretty patient.

How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?

I swear, this man has the biggest memory ever. Your favorite chocolate? He remembers. That one dress you almost bought a year ago? He remembers. Occasionally he would forget some things, but then he just turns to Carla to remind him.

What is their favorite moment in your relationship?

Definitely that one time that you went to the park at sunset and sat under a Sakura Tree. He simply adores that memory.

How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?

Although he knows you can protect yourself, he still got you a bunch of stuff. He literally bought you 5 cans of pepper spray, one of those army flip knives, and a laser. Don't ask about the laser, he thinks it's deadly to shine it in someone's eye. If he sees someone being rude to you or openly hitting on you, he'll step in. Same goes for you except he finds it adorable when you stand in front of him with your arms out to the side trying to protect him.

How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, and everyday tasks?

I mean he's romantic and all, so he may decorate. But he knows that you would feel overwhelmed if he overdid it, so he doesn't. He loves handing you simple flowers throughout the week, and being all affectionate and cute.

What would be some bad habits of theirs?

Sometimes Carla gets a bit more attention than you, and he realizes that you're jealous. He'll put Carla away somewhere and shower you with affection. He's trying to reduce the amount of time he spends with Carla when you're around.

He's a pretty boy. Imagine Eros, who took the form of the most attractive man ever, that's him. He wants to look his best all the time, especially for you.

He would feel pretty down. He would honestly think that it's automatically his fault that you're not with him. He would rant to Carla about it, and she would probably try to comfort him, even if she is an AI machine.

A random headcanon for them.

He absolutely loves going to flower shops. He asks you which flower's you like and he'll buy like 5 bouquets of the one you chose. One time, you guys saw Shadow at the shop and Kaoru just ignored him. But he got super jealous when you waved and smiled at him.

What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?

He definitely doesn't like hotheads. He doesn't mind if you're reserved, but not to the point where it feels like you're shutting him out. He also hates dishonesty.

What is a sleep habit of theirs?

Unbeknownst to him, he latches onto you when he sleeps. Like you'll wake up, and he'll be spooning you. He also falls off the bed sometimes.
