I blinked and looked down as the rain started to pour. I stood under the cover that my schools entrance provided, hand out in the rain. "Hey loser, how was your first day back?"

I turned my head and I spotted Mj behind me. "It was ok, not very eventful." I turned back and realized the rain was starting to let up. "How was your day?"

"As it always is. So why were you gone for so long?"

"No reason. Stark internship stuff, it's excused."

There was silence for a while before I heard a sigh and the sound of an umbrella being opened. I was once again alone at the entrance. While I wasn't exactly lying to MJ, it did have to do with Stark Industries, I still felt bad. She puts a lot of trust in me, and I don't really invest any in her.

A sleek black car pulled up in front of the school, and I got in. After I saved Mr.Starks tech, he kept me up in his medical facilities due to my injuries. Dr.Cho kept me company often, and I let her test my DNA and other abilities. After two days of us talking, she offered me a job where I would work any job she needed done.

Today would be my first official day as her assistant. And though it would be nice to think that Mr.Stark cares very much for me and always likes to know what I'm doing, I'm pretty sure he is unaware of my new job.

I showed up and walked over to the front desk,  checking in. I walked into the elevator and pressed floor 2. Floors 2-4 of the tower were all medical, floor two is intensive care and Dr.Chos office. Floor three is all medical lab, and floor four is for strictly Avengers personnel, or enhanced individuals, it's where I stayed for my injuries.

I walked past the empty beds and knocked on the door to Dr.Cho's office. When the door opened, Hawkeye and Black Widow were standing behind her. Both their eyes landed on me, and I just smiled shyly. "Romanov, Barton, this is my apprentice Peter Parker. He's 15 and his genius truly rivals Starks. I'm lucky to have him in my staff."

I felt my face warm up at the compliment to my smarts, it doesn't happen very often. "Hi, nice to meet you." I choked out, feeling a little starstruck. I stuck my hand out and shook hands with both of them.

"You have a very strong grip."

"Oh well, thanks Ms.Romanov."

"Of course, do you mind waiting outside the door?We have some private things to finish discussing with Dr.Cho."

I just nodded, and waved bye, and sat on the bench outside her door. Eventually, maybe ten minutes later and while I was playing on my phone, the two Avengers walked out of Dr.Cho's office. I stood up and walked into Dr.Cho's office, and she smiled, standing and hugging me. She gestured for me to sit, and I did, as she sat down in her desk.

"So how are you doing now Peter?"

"Pretty good, I feel brand new. Thank you for treating me and giving me this job."

"No problem Peter. Just make sure you prove to me that you deserve this job."

"I will. What's my job today?"

"I just need you observe how we work today, and get acquainted with everyone. You'll also be getting coffees and cleaning up. Tomorrow I'll have some tasks lined up for you to do."

"Thank you again, I won't let you down."

"I know you won't."

I smiled and we said our goodbyes. I left the room with a clipboard and rode the elevator up a floor to the medical lab. In the elevator I adjusted my I.D. and made sure I looked presentable. Walking out of the elevator I was greeted by the sight of people hard at work, all writing, and listening to Christmas music. The vibes are Immaculate.

"Hi you must be Peter, my name is Nellie. I have a list of coffees that the staff wanted, you will find employee kitchen 1 on floor  5." Nellie smiled, and it seemed fake but I really couldn't tell, and I took the list.

Once I get home, I need to talk to Ned about when he can be my guy in the chair again. Mr.Stark hasn't given me back the suit he made, so I'm stuck with a remake of my old suit. There is more tech than originally though.  Despite my continuance in disobeying what I've been told to or not to do, I'm not taking chances though, so I'll most likely start to patrol next week instead of jumping right into it.

Finishing up the coffees, I took the elevator down to their floor and started passing the cups out, already having memorized their names.

"Thanks Peter, now can you-"

Running errands for the medical staff wasn't too bad, they were all kind and it really helped me get a feel for who they were as a team. I walked into Aunt May's apartment, hearing food getting made, I smiled and walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Aunt May, guess we are both going to be later sleepers early risers now."

"I guess so, tonight's menu is lasagna for two."

"Sound perfect."

I sat at the counter watching aunt May cook, and pulled out my phone. I looked for Neds contact and texted him.

Hey Ned when do you think you can
Be my guy in the chair again?

Refocusing back onto what's now a finished dinner, I put my phone away so me and Aunt May can talk without distraction.

"So I know I'm not home a lot, but now that you have this job hopefully will be home around the same times now. But how was your first day back at school?"

"It was good, but a lot of people are asking a lot of questions."

"Is that really so bad? What's the downside of people knowing?"

"The downside is you can get killed Aunt May. I'm not losing the last person left in my family. We don't have to worry anyways, I'm ok now. The vulture is in jail and we don't have to worry about my identity anymore." We sat in silence for a bit, eating the rest of the lasagna in a few bites. I took a sip from my water.

"I suppose your right, just promise me that you'll come home at the end of the day." I looked aunt May in the eyes and looked back down at my empty plate.

"You know I can't promise that. But I promise I can do my best."
