╰─► K-pop co-ed group SEVENTEEN will temporarily continue their promotional activities in South Korea as 12 members, as members Jun , Cien and The8 to return to their hometown after so many years.
SEVENTEEN's agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, announced the news on Wednesday, September 1, saying that the decision was made after consultation with the members of the group, taking into account the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
❝ SEVENTEEN members Jun , Cien and The8 will focus on their activities in China from September to December. They will resume their work in China that has been postponed by COVID-19 and spend time with their families after having been forced to stay apart from them for a considerable amount of time due to the pandemic ❞ the statement read.
❝ Please note that during this period, SEVENTEEN will engage in their promotions in Korea with 12 members ❞
The agency also added, ❝ We ask for your generous understanding, and please stay tuned for the diverse activities of SEVENTEEN both in Korea and abroad during the second half of this year ❞
Following the announcement, Jun , Cien and The8 members took to Weverse to confirm the news. The rest of SEVENTEEN's members told them to spend time with their family and to come back safely.
On the following day , a famous Chinese drama director Ding Ziguang who wrote many popular dramas like Go Ahead , Youth etc. updated his Weibo claiming that Seventeen fellow female member Cien has signed a drama contract which may be titled as " Only for Love "which is claimed to be a romance-comedy and nothing much regarding the genre or the drama name has been confirmed . The director further claims that the writers of the drama are Duan Yuyue and Ma Jia which will totally have 36 episode and is set to be released by 2023
