When Kerria and Logan stepped out of Dr Cohnan's office, it seemed to Logan that Kerria was lighter. Not all the way, but time will tell, he held the hand that wasn't bandaged and Kerria looked up at him.
"I'm sorry for this morning Logan, I didn't mean to give you a heart attack. I was just overwhelmed, this," Kerria held up her bandaged right hand.
"Wasn't planned, well I guess emotional outbreaks aren't ever planned. Derek is going to be even more worried about me after he sees this."

Logan looked at Kerria from the corner of his eyes. She was standing taller now that she let out what she holding in.
"He's your twin my love, of course he'll worry, but I don't want you to worry about it. It happened and now we just deal with what comes after." Logan said and Kerria took a deep breath as they waited for the elevator.

"Tell me, is it bad that I don't want to go to the HQ today? I just want to go back home and lay on the couch in your lap. Binge watch a few of our favorite shows, scarf popcorn and maybe down a few liters of pop." Logan looked at her fully, knowing damn well that if she laid in his lap, he wouldn't be watching the shows. Her comfortable clothes consisted of booty shorts and skin tight tank tops. He was a hot blooded male for Pete's sake, he knew that his girl had the body of a goddess. She works damn hard for it and for her to even suggest scarfing down popcorn and a few litters of pop. She was admitting that she needed a day off.

If she wanted him to be her pillow, he'd gladly be her pillow, hell he'd be the damn moon if he could. Now if he could just keep the hot blooded male on the lease she'll have a nice relaxing day off.
"We'll stop at the store and get we what we need." Logan said and he watched as Kerria's eyes light up and warm feeling started in his chest.
"Oh! You know what? I haven't had Swiss cakes in forever and oh god peach rings!" Kerria exclaimed and a smile lifted the corner of Logan's lips, the elevator door opened and they stepped in.
"I'll just call in and let Jefferson know to take over today."
"Already did" Kerria turned her head to look at him and he saw the beginning of tears in her eyes.

He also watched her turn away and take a deep breath and the tears were gone. It always amazed him that she could will the emotions away like that. But as he found out this morning they were always bubbling underneath the surface of her mask.
"You always spoil me Logan"
"If I don't spoil you, then who will? We both know that you have big heart and put others first." Logan said and Kerria smiled and leaned against him as the elevator went down to the lobby.

"Shush, I don't want the secret to be out, and you know damn well that if my men find out they'll try walk all over me." Kerria raised her mouth to Logan's ear and whispered.
"You're the only man that I want to man handle me." Logan forgot how to breathe for second as her hand went to his chest. She knew exactly what she was doing to him, he knew that that she did. Because when the doors to the elevator opened and she sauntered out like the little minx that she is.

After Kerria opened the door to the apartment, both her and Logan went into the kitchen and dumped the grocery bags onto the counter.
"I'm going to regret buying all of these sweets tomorrow. But I'll just have to work extra hard in the gym." Kerria said as she walked towards their bedroom. She was putting her black hair up into a pony tail. Logan followed her, but then veered off into the direction of the living room.

He knew if he followed her into the bedroom, they'd most likely forget all about the binge watching TV series. As Logan sat on the couch he remembered how he first came to be the bodyguard of the black hair green eyed beauty.

Flashback

Logan had just been discharged from the army, his two tours in Irag were done. He was in week two of being a civilian again when he got a letter in the mail from a company called Caliber. He didn't have a clue what it was, but the letter had that military vibe coming from just the envelope.
