Y/n's POV

Valentines Day.

The one day a year dedicated to love. You usually get to relax and spend time with your Valentine if you have one.

Wedding Day.

The day you get married to your Fiancé. The person you love so much you wanna spend the rest of your life with them.

I thought that if we had our wedding on Valentine's Day it would make it more romantic and special.

Boy was I wrong

~~Flashback~~

"I feel like I got hit by a bus" I groaned.

"I'll be right back I'm gonna get some ibuprofen and tylenol from the pharmacy across the street"

It was the night before my wedding and I had a cold and the worse headache EVER.

I grabbed my phone and called Jon.

"Hey love, you feel better yet?" He asked.

"No, not really. Pips is getting me medicine and I really hope it works"

"I'm sure it will. Now you get some rest and call me back in the morning"

"But I don't wanna hang up, I miss you!"

"I miss you too, but I need you to get some rest. I'll call Pips later to check up on you, goodnight love"

"Goodnight"

I laid down and start drifting off to sleep when I heard the door open. Pips was back.

"Okay, you should be better by tomorrow morning if you take these meds"

She set down s e v e n bottles on the table

"Ugghhhhh" I groaned

7:00 a.m.

We were at the wedding venue (Is that what it's called? I've never been married before and the last wedding I've been to was in 2015) My cold and headache were gone and I was getting into my wedding dress.

"Oh Y/n, you look gorgeous!" Thayne exclaimed while jumping up and down.

"Thanks! Do you happen to know where Jonathan is?"

"He's busy getting ready in his dressing room"

"I'm gonna go see him"

"NO! It's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding! Here" He handed me my phone. "Call him"

I called him and things didn't go....well.

"Hey babe" I say

"Hey, you feeling better?"

"Yeah, miss you"

"Miss you too, I got to go. Lin's about to do something stupid. Love you! Oh! One more thing....will you be my Valentine?"

"Is that even a question? Of course!"

"Love you honey! Bye!"

"Bye!" He hung up the phone.

"Okay, now time for hair and make-up"

~Timeskip~

After two hours of sitting in a chair, getting my hair yanked, and getting make-up put on and wiped off my face, I was ready to walk down the isle.

I took a few steps out the door with a white bouquet in my hands. I looked ahead and saw Jonathan standing there. It was like everyone just vanished and there was a spotlight on Jon. I walked until I reached the end of the isle and I finally got to see Jon. After a few seconds I snapped out of it because the priest started talking. (Is it a priest that does the reading stuff? Idk) Most of it seemed like a blur until the priest said "If anyone can show just cause why this couple cannot lawfully be joined together in matrimony, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." That's when all hell broke loose.

"I object! Jonathan as your ex I should get a say in who you marry!" A familiar whiney voice said. I looked to my left and saw Katy. I mean, now I can tell people that the Devil himself/herself (idk) came to my wedding.

"I object as well! Y/n honey, I know I'm your mother and I've always seemed supportive of your relationship but I thought you two would stay just friends. I didn't see Jon as a good boyfriend let alone a husband." Holy shit, my mom really just told me she doesn't approve of my soon to be hubby.

"I agree with your mom" My dad said.

"I also disapprove of this marriage!" My fricken grandma disapproved my marriage. I couldn't take it anymore. I ran back into the building (the wedding is outside) and slammed my dressing room door. I sat down on the floor and broke down sobbing.

"Babe? It's me, can I come in?" I heard Jonathan say through the door.

I sat there silently not wanted to respond.

A few minutes later the door opened and I saw Jonathan sit next to me.

"I know it must be hard hearing that your family doesn't want us together and my ex coming to the wedding and starting whole thing but you gotta show them it's not about them today. It's about us. So let's rub how much we love each other in their faces!"

"Sounds like a plan" I wipe away my tears and take Jonathan's arm. We walk down the isle together and the priest whispers "Ready to continue?"

I nod my head yes and continue to focus on one thing. Getting through this. Before I knew if I said the words I never thought I would get to say in a million years.

"I, Y/n L/n, take you, Jonathan Groff, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part"

(Idk if this is what comes after this but screw it)

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride"

Let me tell you, that was the best kiss I've ever had.

~Timeskip~

After the reception we drove back to our apartment and changed into more comfortable clothes. Me and Jon hopped into bed and got as much rest as we could before we had to wake up to catch the flight for our honeymoon.

~~End of flashback~~

And that takes me back to here. I am currently at an airport waiting to board a plane to Paris for my honeymoon.
