This Time

My Star

It was a normal day for me, a normal day it seemed. I wake up, brush my teeth, and go for a walk. It took me about 3 minutes to finally notice that it was night time. The stars welcome me with open arms as they shine down on me. I chuckled a bit at how beautiful they where, and how dumb I was to not notice how late it was.

I turn around, beginning to walk back home when a gust of wind comes out of nowhere, lifting me into the air with it. I gasp, flinging my arms a bit as I lift off into the air. What the f u c k is going on!? I kept screaming inside of my head.

I finally calm down, taking deep breaths as I close my eyes. Ok, maybe i'm dreaming. All I have to do is pinch my arm? Right? Ok- I bring my hand up, pinching myself as hard as possible, cursing at myself at the sudden sharp pain.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?" I screamed.

After finally giving up and letting the wind take me higher above the clouds, I just floated there, arms crossed, and a frown on my face. The only thing I was thankful for was that I had oxygen and it wasn't cold. The view was nice though, I was able to see a bunch of stars, some galaxies, and many shooting stars.

I began to relax for a bit, just floating there, kinda enjoying the wind against my skin. When I finally stopped out of nowhere, I looked around me for soft ground, or something. When I was finally able to step on what looked like a star, I began to climb up on other stars as well.

"Hello!? Anyone there!?" I yelled out.

It felt so lonely up here, sure it was a beautiful sight, but there was nothing up her but stars and the moon. I sighed finally giving up on yelling. I sit down on one of the stars looking down at the ground that was so far, far away.

I look around and shrug.

"Well, since i'm up here I might as well have fun with it." I shrug.

I start climbing up a bunch of stars, making my climb to the moon. It takes a bit but I am almost there, I take a moment to breathe before I look up and see a girl. I watch her for a bit, it looks as if she is sitting on some stars, throwing others, making them into shooting stars. She has a beautiful long dress on, her hair up in a ponytail, flowing as if it were in water when she walks around. Her eyes, a beautiful dark brown but looked as if they had stars in them. A halo looking crown around her head. She looked so beautiful and yet so lonely.

I snap out of my dream, cleaning myself up a bit. I curse at myself, I should have worn something more presentable instead of a big jacket, oversized shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. I put my hair up in a bun real quick, brushing off the stardust on my knees. I begin to walk up to her.

"Uhm- Hel-" I began to speak before she screamed. She looked at me, up and down before laughing a bit. I raise an eyebrow at this.

"Oh my god! It's you! You're here! Aha!" She said, a smile growing more and more on her face.

I chuckled a bit. "Uhm... you were expecting me?" I pointed a finger at me.

"Well, yes, but also, no- You see, I have been stuck up here alone for so- SO long! And so I asked the sun if I would have a friend but they didn't answer back which is so mean, and wrong, but that's just how they are- Anywho! I just wanted some company up here and so I wished for it and now here you are!"
