Chapter 1: Kakashi and Naruto meet

Naruto POV
Dozens of tears fell onto the rough road. The tears were endless, they keep running down my face. My eyes were red and swollen from crying so much. The pain was unbearable. My body was uselessly laying on the ground paralyzed from pain. Why is the world so cruel? What did I do to deserve this? My body was healing slowly. But my pain didn’t stop. I felt my chakra draining. Kurama mainly used his own chakra. I was lucky to have Kurama. But I can’t help but to be useless in this situation, I’m just laying here while Kurama does all the work.

I am Naruto Uzumaki. I am three years old and I don’t have parents. Yes, I don’t have parents I live off stealing. Life itself is hard. All my life has been negative after negative. I don’t have friends, family or even a caregiver. Another thing about me is that I inherited the nine tailed beast when I was born as Minato Namikaze and Kushima Uzumaki son. People think I don’t know about this but I knew all along since the age of two when I learned the cruelty and unfairness of the world. Some days I wish to die, I would rather die than be in this shit world.

My eyes started closing but I desperately tried to stay awake. My energy draining and fast. My eyelids felt heavy and slowly started to close. I gave up against my sleepiness. The last thing I saw was someone lifting me up. I woke up to the sound of beeping. My body felt terrible. I opened my eyes to see a bright room with a white ceiling. I covered my eyes because of the blinding light. Where was I? I sat up slowly. I looked around the room. I was at the hospital? What had happened? Then all the memories started flooding back. I remembered being beaten up by the people of the village. "I see your awake, Naruto,” said a deep voice. I looked over to see an adult standing at the doorway leaning on one side. Naruto, I haven’t heard someone say that name in ages. It’s always something insulting like monster, killer or murderer. The person had grey hair and had a headband over one eye. This person strangely had a mask covering two-thirds of his face. “Are you ok?” the mysteries someone said. I nodded not wanting to draw attention. He looked at me with a ‘are you sure’ look and replied to the nod with “well then my name is Kakashi. The police want to know about what happened. So, what happened?”. “I-,” I didn’t know what to say but then replied coldly with “not that it’s your business”. He looked confused for a moment with my violent respondence. His face turned emotionless again. He was about to say something when a doctor calmly walked in the room. The doctor said I was healing just fine and that I would be dismissed from the hospital tomorrow. I was sighed with relief. I no longer wanted to be here answering all of Kakashi’s demanding questions. The doctor turned to Kakashi and whispered to him. I couldn’t make out his words. Kakashi gave me a glare and looked back at the man. I knew Kakashi wanted to know about what happened. He gave the doctor a quick nod and disappeared leaving a trace of grey smoke.

Kakashi POV
I ran across the roofs in the night sky. As I passed street by street until I hear a quiet whimpering. I stop at the sound the person’s voice. The person sounded like he was in a bad pain. Jumped down landing perfectly when I saw a kid laying there. He had blond hair with sky blue gleaming eyes. His eyes were closing, I quickly went to him without a hesitation. I picked him up with two arms and travelled to the hospital. His body looked fragile. His body was brutally bruised and beaten. I arrived at the hospital nurses and doctors surrounded him and took him to a room. I patiently waited for the doctors to mend him. A doctor came out of the room looking relived. He looked at me and spoke “Naruto is doing fine, some of his ribs are broken and exactly 2 bones are broken. Luckily there is not damage to the brain. He will be waking up soon,” he finished. What had happened to this boy I asked myself? As I was about to go see the boy apparently named Naruto, I overhear the nurses talking saying “What did you say? The demon boy is here!” The other nurses' nods and they start whispering, I didn’t pay attention since I had more important things to do. I went to the young boy's room. After time went by the beaten boy started waking up. “I see your awake Naruto,” I said quite mysteriously. He looked at me emotionlessly. He hesitated to trust me. There was an uncomfortable silence we stared at each other not breaking contact. I spoke up and said “Are you ok?”. He silently nodded. The air is dense. “well then my name is Kakashi. The police want to know about what happen. So, what happened?” He took a moment was about to speak. “I-” he stopped. He looked at me and hissed “not that it’s your business”. I was surprised, the respondence was a suddenly violent. As I was about to say something the doctor came in. He looked at the small boy and explained his situation. He turned to me and whispered making sure the boy wouldn’t hear he quietly explained, “the Hokage asked for you because of the situation”. I turned to him and looked at me, Naruto stared at me back with a scary expression that gave me a cold chill down my back. I shivered and gave the doctor a nod. I disappeared with a puff.

I ran to the Hokage in a fast speed. The sky was blue now. I arrived to the Hokage residence quickly as I ran inside the door the Hokage looked furious. He looked at me with a killer instinct and spoke “Kakashi, I want you to find out about what happened to Naruto. Minato asked me to look after Naruto, right now I am failing to achieve that goal”. It hit me Naruto was Minato Sensei’s son. I looked back they shared the same traits such as blond hair and blue eyes. I gave a respectful bow and left. I slowed my pace of running and walked home. I arrived at the dull looking house. I went in saying ‘I’m here' but I painfully knew no one was going to respond. I chuckled a bit thinking of my old team and my father. Oh well then I thought.
