Grandpa's Journey Into The Unkown- (On Hold)

Introduction

Hello I'm Chelsea, im 13 years old and this is about the journey I have had with my grandpa. My grandpa's name is David.

We have had a few hard years with my grandpa ever since we found out he had Alzheimer's and vascular dementia.

He got diagnosed in 2012, but he was only in the early stages, he could still remember most things he would only forget the little things.

I have many memories with my grandpa, like when we would go to the gold course and collect golf balls that people had lost. We went sledging one year and I fell in a ditch and everyone was laughing.

Miss all those times, seems like it was yesterday when they happened.

Its hard dealling with a family member that has Alzheimer's. You dont realize how hard it is living with someone that has Alzheimer's until it actually is happening in your life.

I didnt fully understand what Alzheimer's was I still don't fully understand it, but I do know somethings about it.

Alzheimer's is basically when they lose there memory because there brian cells start to die off and you lose control of your body and you can't feed yourself, walk, talk those kind of things.

The thing is Alzheimer's and vascular dementia is incurable unfortunately so there's isn't anyway of changing his illness unfortunately you pass away from having Alzheimer's or dementia
