Izuku's replacement

I'm starting to grown concern. It's been a few weeks, and I haven't heard from my brother. Usually he responds at least once a week, but it's been three. I don't know if this is him trying to keep me and him safe from the pros, or if he can't get in touch with me.

I've noticed more eyes on me around school and the dorms. I can never pinpoint who it is or what that give me the chill up my spine, like I'm being watched.

For some bizarre reason, it all disappears once I leave the schools premises. Which doesn't make sense with me, I thought it would've been the other way round. The last time I saw my brother I got back to my dorm without being caught. I haven't been questioned or anything.

I turn my head, and by coincidence, my alarm beeps in my face.

"Another sleepless night again." I sigh to myself.

Second night of no sleep with just the overwhelming thoughts of my mind tearing situation keeping me company throughout the night. I haven't been able to sneak into Bakugou's room for comfort lately; the school decided to install cameras in the hallways. I wonder why.

To top it off, it's a Monday. I groan deeply a sway myself over to my closet for my uniform. Apparently, Mr. Aizawa has an important announcement today. I'm somewhat nervous for what it is.

As I'm walking to class, I feel an arm wrap round my neck. I look up to see my favourite person staring right back at me, but not with the most pleasant face.

"Why do you look like shit?" He asks.

"Wow, how rude of you to say." I reply crossing my arms.

"Why do you look like you haven't gotten sleep in days?" He rephrases his point.

"Because I haven't been getting sleep."

"Dumbass, and why not?" He questions in his tone where he's annoyed but concerned.

"I just can't sleep. And before you ask, I don't know why."

"Idiot. You need sleep."

"Oh I know that Katsuki, but it's been a bit hard lately." I say circling my face to signal where I'm going with that comment.

"Dammit, just stay in my dorm then." He suggests.

"I would be, if it wasn't for the fucking cameras they installed last week." I huff.

"I'll just blow them up myself."

"No, no. I'll try to see what I can do, but I'm doing fine okay?" I say pressing a soft kiss against his lips. "For now, we focus on class."

Class was the usual; chatter amongst the girls and laughs from the boys. I glance outside to see the soft fluffy clouds turn to a misty grey.

Storm.

I spread a small smile out to the window. I love storms. Faintly, I hear the sound of sharp snaps. I turn my head back to Mina and the girls.

"Hello?!" Mina waves clicking her fingers about.

"Uh, hi. Sorry I just zoned out." I laugh slightly.

"Looks like its going to storm later." Yaoyorozu points out.

"You don't say."

The classroom door slides open revealing our homeroom teacher. As usual, he scans the room and locks eyes with me for a brief second before moving his eyes to the rest of the class. Neither him, the principal or any other teacher or pro hero have approached me about me and my brothers relationship. I can't tell if they're satisfied with my responses previously, watching me until they notice something, or they're planning something and just keeping an eye on me.

"Alright everyone take your seat." He demands in his usual sleepy tone.

"Today is a little different. Usually this never happens, but since of recent events," he says taking a small glance at Izuku's empty seat, "and some thought with the principal, we thought a particular student will be transferred to class 1A. I hope you'll make them feel welcomed." He announces.

Everyone expresses a shocked face; including me. Well this is new, thought it was all just a rumor.

The door opens revealing a boy, slightly taller than me, violet hair with the same bland facial expression as Mr. Aizawa. Shinsou.

"I'm Hitoshi Shinsou, as many of you know. I'm glad to be here." He says almost in the from of a sigh.

Some students look intimidated by him, others aren't fazed, some people (Katsuki) are angry. I look over at him with my cheek resting on my hand, I'm surprised they picked someone from General Studies, but his quirk is underrated.

"Shinsou, your seat is next to Hakai, if you could please take a seat." Mr. Aizawa instructs. With his hands shoved into his pockets, he walks over and sits in his chair. I take a quick side glance at him before facing back to the teacher.

"Today we'll be focusing on combat. We're going to start dedicating a whole day for combat training and mastering your techniques used for when you encounter a villain. For now you'll be sparring with a person next to you." I look to my left, seeing Shinsou turn to his right.

"Guess we're sparring partners, nice to meet you." I say getting out of my seat.

"Same goes." He replies walking off with the class.

"No way you're sparring with him." Katsuki growls walking up to me.

"Well I had no say okay. What's the worst that could happen?" I ask him.

"You're sparring with me okay." He firms. I sigh and grab his hand.

"Whatever you say." I say rolling my eyes sarcastically.

We both walk outside to the training field after getting changed into your training uniform. I stand near the back with Katsuki's arms wrapped around my torso with his chin resting on my shoulder. It must be because of Shinsou.

"With your partner I want you to practice sparring but also help one another with each other's quirks and how to improve it. What's the point of sparring if you can't grow off one another?" He rhetorically asks us.

"And no swapping partners." He says more sternly. I sigh I look to the side at my boyfriends face.

"Guess we can't be together." I say resting my head against his. I hear a small growl erupt from his mouth and his arms tighten around me. I look back and put my hand up to get Mr. Aizawa's attention.

"Will we ever swap partners, or is it for the remainder of the year?" I question.

"That's up for me to decide. If I see partners not working or simply one sided, I'll swap." He responds. "Now everyone get on a mat and begin. I'll be watching." He says before walking over to a wall and sliding down to the floor in his sleeping bag.
