Lucianna Lloyd

"You. You are Clement's bodyguard, aren't you?"

Jian Yu turned and saw a young woman standing there in front of him, glaring with her arms crossed. He immediately recognized her. 

Lucianna Lloyd. An Omega. 

Long and wavy blonde hair that went down her back. Small oval face with large emerald eyes that was currently trying to kill him with them. She wore the normal attire Zariya college had provided all of their students. 

White suit over the dark blouse together with a white knee-length flare skirt. A ruby red tie tied in butterfly knots sat under the collar of her blouse.

This was the youngest daughter from the Lloyd family and Lady Clement's friend. Spoiled rotten and treated like a queen by her family.

"Yes, Lady Lloyd. How may I help you?" 

Jian Yu gave her a bow. 

"Disgusting."

Flabbergasted, he looked at her. What? 

"Is this how Betas usually are? Spreading their legs whenever they want… trying to act like an Omega?" 

Jian Yu was stunned. It was as if the impact of those words had knocked every wisp of air from his lungs. 

"How does it feel? Does it satisfy you? Do you feel good?" 

Every question she spouted, she took a step closer to him. 

"Of course it does, especially to sluts like you." 

Jian Yu kept quiet, head bowed down. 

'Keep silent and she will walk away,' That was what he thought, yet she didn't.

When she did not receive the reaction she anticipated for, Lucianna flipped her blonde hair backward and sneered. "Y'know, it was once a blessing to all of us, Alpha and Omega, during that massacre."

Jian Yu gulped. What the hell was she trying to do? 

That Massacre. 

It was a taboo word now, something forbidden to bring up.

No one was allowed to talk about it. Not even the Royal Family. And why was she bringing it up? 

Memories of the massacre made bile rose and his chest clenched. He struggled to inhale, to exhale, to do anything. His widened eyes could only stare at her. 

Looking at his terrified expression, Lucianna was filled with satisfaction, he finally showed some reaction.  

"All of you Betas should just perish. I wonder how you are even alive till now. It is such a shame." 

Tension grew in his face and limbs, his mind replaying all of her words. His breathing became more rapid, more shallow. His heart was hammering inside his chest as if it belonged to a rabbit running for its skin.

He could feel a panic attack approaching him but he couldn't stop himself. He remembered darkness. How it was dark and suffocating. 

Then blackness.

Creeping blackness.

He remembered lying in a fetal position and then… 

His mind kept flashing those moments like broken records, accelerating inside his head. He never noticed how she had stood in front of him. She then stood on her tiptoe and whispered. 

"I saw you, acting all innocent and docile. I wonder… what would Clement think when she knew you were seducing her future husband?" 

The moment she finished her sentence, it somehow gave Jian Yu relief. The tension that had kept him up melted into nothing.
