6. He Cares

I woke up feeling a bit better then yesterday.

Oh how I love my precious sleep.

I am currently in front of my wardrobe deciding what to wear. Every other day I wear something that goes with school as well as my work so because I have 2 days off I am deciding to wear something comfy.
"I remember keeping it there. "Found it!"

I finally decided to wear a crop white hoodie with cargo pants. And I kept my hair in a half ponytail.

"Perfect!!"

Time skip

I met Minnie outside the school campus and we walked inside together or in my case stumbled.
"Hey you okay? What happened to your leg?"
"Nothing. I'm fine."
Minnie knows me very well and how I don't care about my health and body. She's sometimes like a second mother to me. It's like she can see through me.

"Don't lie to me."
"Fine. I maybe or maybe not have fallen and sprained my ankle." I said.
"Are you out of your mind?! You should have at least bandaged it!" She practically yells at me.
"Hey don't worry its not that bad." I said.
"Just see it you can barely walk."
"It's fine. Really."

We made our way to the class.

"Listen. You are going to get your leg bandaged after school. No excuses."
I sighed.
It's impossible to beat Minnie in an argument.
"Okay Mom!" I teased
She rolls her eyes.

Time Skip to after school

We made our way from school towards Rishi's house. Em and Rishi were already there at the main door waiting for us. Em
standing in his morning outfit, black hoodie and denim jeans but Rishi had changed into some comfortable black trousers and a blue hoodie.
"Hey" Em greeted.
"Yeah, Hii Em." I greeted back

"Aand hi to you too" Minnie added referring to Rishi not so happily. Almost frowning at him.

"Awww. How cute!" He replied.
"Yeah if you're done with your 'greetings' can we head inside and start our project?" Em entrupted

He always does that when any situation becomes or is becoming awkward. Something I appreciate about him.

We were heading inside and Rishi noticed my stumbling.
"Hey you okay?" He asked almost immediately
"Better than ever." I said sarcasm dripping from my voice.
"You leg doesn't seem good."
It's now that I noticed he was serious and wasn't joking this time.

"This miss over here tripped and sprained her leg and didn't bother to even bandage it." Minnie said jumping into the conversation.
I glared daggers at Minnie
She gave me a look that said 'can't help when you're being careless'

"Ugh. Enough talk. Em? You bought the stuff required for the project?" I said in hopes that it will shift their attention to something else.
"Yeah I did except that pendrive." Em said.
"Don't worry I have one."
Rishi said.
"Good" I mumbled without even looking at him.

Time Skip

We completed half of our project and left the other half for tomorrow.
"Alright we still have a lot of time. How about we hang out? I had taken a leave from the cafe and I'm not going to waste it." Minnie suggested.

"Perfect." Rishi said clapping his hands.
"Sounds good to me." Em said
They started looking at me for my opinion.

"Do I have a choice?"

"Nope" Minnie said.

"Wait a minute." Rishi said and then tossed something at me.
A bandage.
"You're going to bandage your leg first."
Rishi said firmly.

Why is he showing like he cares?
"Fine." I gave up. Honestly the pain in my leg had worsened after we left school so I didn't said much and started bandaging my leg.

Minnie and Em were discussing something I didn't knew. It's then Rishi noticed me struggling tying the bandage.
"Here let me do it." He said softly but firmly.

Then I realised he wasn't asking.

I let him tie my bandage.
"Aah! Not so tight." I whined.
"Sorry. Here... How's it now?" He asked softly after losing it a bit.
"Good. Thanks." I said barely above a whisper.

Does he really care?
I questioned myself.

He let go of my leg. It was a lot better now that it was bandaged. I should have listened to Minnie earlier in the morning.

"You done? Let's go then." Em said
"Yeah"

Yess... an early update!
Surprised?
