"Why is it so hot outside?" You whined once you met handong inside the mall with the older girl rolling her eyes at you. "You wanted to walk instead of actually riding a car to the mall so it's your lost" She non-chantilly says going inside one of the many clothing stores with you trailing behind.
Why did I agree to this in the first place? You thought running a hand through your hair. "By the way Y/N I wanted to ask you something" The girl you technically forced you to join her to the mall brought up a topic you never knew she had in mind.
"You're planning on getting an engagement ring but proposing to gahyeon after a year or so?" You wanted a clear understanding of the situation.
Handong nodded before sighing heavily. "I think she's not yet ready to be married nor engaged to me" The way handong says it with a hint of sadness made you shake your head.
"Gahyeon is literally in love with you even before you even ask her out her gaze towards you everytime will give me diabetes soon from how sweet they are and remember you were beside her through thick and thin after bora and siyeon's marriage so why are you hesitating? For me I think gahyeon is just waiting for you knowing that my friend doesn't really do first moves" You encouraged handong while she shortly chuckled.
"I know that but I don't know" You understood why handong was hesitating though it was a big step to take even after 5 years of being together almost 6.
The two lovers weren't like bora and siyeon who got married just after a year or two they trust their instincts more while gahyeon and handong were more of a slow but surely one however sometimes you just cant help but feel a bit frustrated over the two.
Yes they are very smart when it comes to studying and all but when it comes to love Oh god. "I'll ask gahyeon once we get home" You informed handong knowing it was the least you can ever do to your friend who helped you a lot from accepting yourself to getting out of your comfort zone.
"You would really do that?" Handong's face lit up as you both entered a jewelry store. "Yeah...Oh my god is this a real diamond holy shit it's 5 million won!" You reclaimed surprised by the price.
Fuck even if I lived with a rich family I still cant afford this You thought as handong remained unfazed talking to one of the workers.
"Can I check the ring I was wanting to buy but got sold out?" That alone peek your interest as you walked beside handong.
"You already tried buying one? Like here? The rings are so expensive th-" Handong cuts you off not really wanting a scolding from you right now.
"It's okay it's for gahyeon anyways I just hope she will like this" As if it was a cue for the worker to come back with a blue velvet ring box.
Once he opens the box for you and handong Your mouth agape by how shiny and beautiful the engagement ring was minding yourself that it was just the engagement ring and not a wedding ring.
"H-how much is this?" You ask in disbelief while handong stares at the ring. "101,967,838 won for the ring and 27,143 won for the box 101,994,981 in total" The guy says it as if it wasn't a big deal.
"Handong lets just b-" You were about to persuade handong but she brought out a pile of cash that you didn't know she brought with her.
Your legs felt weak from the shock you were going through as handong shuts the box close placing it on the pocket of her jacket.
"Have a nice day" He says before you got pulled by handong out of the jewelry store you covered your mouth still surprised.
"Ask gahyeon for me okay?" Was the last thing she says before walking first.
You were still in disbelief ss you trailed behind her. Why is she risking her wealth for gahyeon? The thought lingered in your head seeing that handong was very wealthy and so is her parents while gahyeon was just a normal girl that has friends like you and siyeon.
Handong will still risk getting into a potentially major downfall on her wealth just for gahyeon and that has confused the hell out of you but you didn't want to ask why because it's their life and you were going to support them either way.
Once you two finally finished shopping which led to countless hours of endless walking and walking and more walking you finally entered handong's house to see gahyeon on their couch.
"Move I want to rest my foot it's killing me" You were about to push gahyeon out of the couch but gladly she stood up immediately.
"What happened to her?" Gahyeon asked walking towards handong kissing her cheek. "Oh she joined me on a shopping spree by the way how's work baby?" Handong places the shopping bags from different stores inside their shared bedroom.
Hearing a faint tired groan from you across the living room making the two lovers chuckle. "I was lonely for a while.
