outside it was all foggy and there was hardly any trace of sun. it was shivering cold and perhaps the coldest day of your life. in the morning when you started for your school like usual, the white landscapes thrilled you and despite the freezing cold temperature, excitement warmed you up at the thought of playing with snow with your bestfriend. also the very thought of staying happy and carefree in your birthday, enlightened your heart.
and with this excitement, you spent the half of your day. it was evening, you had to go back to your grandmother. the misty roads were isolated, sky was getting darker as the freezing winds slapped on your face. for some unknown restlessness, you fastened your pace and found yourself running to home. must because of the weather- you thought but your instincts were feeling something different.
and it scared you to death once you reached the yard of your house only to find out that all of the horses, cattle were gone. strangely, every boundary was locked.
knots aren't even untied...can't be wolves because everything is so fucking clear. it's like...they disappeared,,what the heck- wondering so, you stepped forward towards the door of your house.
however, you stopped just before the doorway, not twisting the doorknob, not ringing the bells continuously or not even knocking for once. you sensed it, your grandmother's absence. you smelled unfamiliar cologne and through your ability, you could sense breaths that didn't belong to people you know. in fact, that belonged to any human beings either. you stepped back, knowing that they were expecting the door to be opened by you, you're aware of how they were waiting for you eagerly.
but you didn't know who for real, not like you had wanted to know at that time. it scared you.
you would always feel eyes on you, as though you were stalked but everytime you found none and had to dismiss the thoughts of being followed.
not making further noises of your footsteps, you didn't waste any more seconds and dissolved in the air. it was one of your abilities, you knew you had but it wasn't enough for you to protect yourself. you weren't experienced with your powers that you'd no idea why you had and whenever you tried to use them, your health conditions would worsen, not to mention the severe headaches. so you couldn't get to practice with your powers for improvement or anything, you would just avoid using them and keep them a secret as things would go biazzare if anyone came to know about it.
the next moment, you found yourself visible in a deep forest. your life felt so noxious and vulgar to you, you were anxious if you should had gone back to home or if you should had kept running for life. thinking about your grandmother made your lips aquiver with horror.
