sliding the glass door, y/n steps in with a following yeonjun and shudders a little due to the air conditioner hitting her wet skin also some random stares she just got from other customers.
"are you feeling cold?" yeonjun questions.
"no, it's fine." she answers but doesn't protest when yeonjun wraps his coat around her.
she doesn't really intend to stare at yeonjun in a white and thin button-up shirt damped on his skin and his flattened locks perfectly messed up- well at least, not again.
"aigoo, take your seat please." an old lady in her early 60s says from the counter and y/n knows the lady.
having a glimpse of her, she notices how the lady has gotten more aged than before. the lady was really nice to her and her friend, often showered them with treats and used to say how happy she would be if they were her own children instead.
maybe because having an ungrateful daughter and an alcohol husband made her think so.
reminiscing the old times, she also observes how the lady looks more troubled and stressed now. anyone could tell by looking at her that life isn't easy on her.
everyone is struggling.
sighing, she claims the last empty table and sits down on a chair. yeonjun sits on another infront of her and tries to make a conversation with giving her the menu,
"what do you want to have?"
she glances down at the menu with lost eyes as she hasn't thought what she would prefer for, then decides to just have what she always used to.
"cookies and cream!"
"it's your favourite, right? how can i forget you always coming here to have this with your that guy friend." he says and oddly 'that guy friend' came out in an unpleasant tone.
"yes but how do you know- wait...nevermind."
"what was his name? i forgot." yeonjun asks, putting a pretence of trying to recall the name he never really bothered to know.
"he is wooyoung." she answers, looking around.
this place has changed too. they redeveloped this area.
"wooyoung? whenever i got to see him, he was wearing mask. was he a trainee or something? i never had the chance to see his face."
this pulls her attention back on him as she narrows her eyes, "whoa whoa, look at you stalking everyone around me including me."
he rolls his eyes, "what would i get by stalking him? it's just you were always with him so he somehow got under my sight. and i obviously never checked inside home and ruined the utmost privacy and also excuse me?! what do you take me for? i had other things to do too so i missed out some things-"
"okay, okay. he was sensitive to dust, that's why." she changes the topic as the fact of being stalked is ruining her mood, "your turn to order."
the lady approaches them and yeonjun tells her, "one mint chocolate and-"
"cream and cookie for me! with you know the extra toppings i always-" she chews her bottom lip, remembering that she really is a no one.
"sorry but have you visited this place before? how could i not remember these faces." she says while examining her and yeonjun, clearly they look new to the lady and also the extravagant auras coming from them.
