Chapter 11

I snatched the camera from his hand forcefully.
“There’s nothing you can do now‚ you’re one of us now” he said in a sinister way.
I ignored him and looked at the screen. “Wait a minute… its black- I mean blank‚ how is this possible.” I said surprised
“What‚ give me that” Jacob said. Jacob snatched it back‚ and that’s when the camera cap fell off. It had been on it the whole time.
I let out a sigh of relief‚ but my heart began to beat rapidly again‚ when Jacob laughed in a sinister way.
“Everyone will die one day‚ and for you my dear friend. Yours might be today” he said. I watched him reach to his back pocket‚ and when he brought his hand out again‚ he had a gun in his hand. “I’m just being fair‚ no need to be scared. It won’t hurt‚ you would be gone before you even fill the pain.”
“Jacob please don’t do it” I pleaded‚ but he didn’t listen to me.
How was I going to get out of this mess? I’m screwed. A pen fell to the ground‚ and he immediately turned his head around‚ but he still had the gun pointed at me. He was now distracted‚ and I kicked the gun out his hand. He turned to me angrily. The expression looked like that of an unreasonable anger.
“Why you” he grumped‚ and I threw the first punch.
We punched and tossed each other around‚ like as if we were both sacks containing unless items. He hit the back of my head‚ and I blacked out. By the time I woke up‚ my hands and feet were tied up‚ but the rope on my hands felt a bit loose. I was moving‚ but my movement hurt my back‚ and dust just kept blowing into my eyes. It didn’t take much time for me to realise I was been dragged on the ground‚ like a big potato sack.
I looked around and it was night time already.
How long had I been unconscious? And why wasn’t Jacob dead yet? Not that I wanted him dead or something. He suddenly stopped and I pretended to be unconscious. I didn’t know if he was looking at me or not‚ but to be on the safer side‚ I mustn’t move an inch.
He was trying to catch his breath‚ maybe he had been dragging me for a long time now. Suddenly‚ I was moving again. The air became cool‚ like as if we were nearing a water body or something.
Jacob lifted me and tossed me‚ I wanted to open my eyes‚ but before I could open them I was slapped hard on the back‚ and I couldn’t breathe any more. My surrounding was cold and wet‚ and my lungs burned for air. I quickly loosened the rope around my hands and feet‚ and swum to the surface.
I popped my head out and gulped a huge amount of air. I looked around to take note of my surroundings‚ and the first thing I sighted was the large Oak tree.
I was at the park‚ freezing in the middle of the Lake. I swum towards shore‚ I was happy when I finally made it to dry ground. Jacob was going to pay for what he just did. I just wanted to know where he headed too exactly. I was at the other side of the lake‚ just underneath the large Oak tree. Freezing like I was at the North pole‚ I’m aware the note pole was colder than this‚ but I was extremely cold.
I heard a gunshot and something fast flew past my left ear‚ and hit the tree instead. I turned around and I found Jacob‚ not too far from where I stood.
He had aimed the bullet at me‚ but luckily for me he missed.
“You just don’t want to die huh” he said reloading the gun.
I grabbed a stick‚ not sure of what I was going to do it. I just felt like I needed to hold something. I charged at Jacob but he hit me again‚ gosh I need to start dodging his fists. I fell hard to the ground‚ with the stick still in my hand.
After Jacob finished reloading the gun‚ he aimed the gun at me again. His legs were wide apart‚ and a thought came to me.  He is just a normal guy like me right. Without thinking about the consequences of my actions‚ I immediately kicked him where the sun doesn’t shine. He accidently pulled the trigger but this time I was able to dodge it. He groaned in pain then the gun dropped to the ground‚ before he fell to his side.
I immediately picked the gun up and rose to my feet. I pointed it at him‚ but God knows I wasn’t going to pull the trigger. Jacob began to laugh sinisterly‚ “Do it Jules…” he said then laughed again “…pathetic” he said.
I took a step backwards just to be out of arms way‚ and before he rose fully to his feet‚ I tossed the gun into the lake. Jacob was pissed and this time he charged me first. I shut my eyes tightly and stretched the stick forward‚ out of reflex.
