I have always loved math. The way that numbers fit into all these word problems it has always baffled me how perfect they are. I know that this is really nerdy but I can't help it, I am one. And I don't care what anybody thinks of me, that's who I am, a nerd.
"Done so soon?" My math teacher, Mrs.Perklin, is looking at me with the smile that I have only seen her give to two people; me (obviously) and my best friend London who (just like me) is a nerd.
"Well of course," I say delightfully," you know me!"
I turn around to see the whole class gawking at me like I was a ghost or something. I could feel heat flowing to my cheeks as I hurried to my seat. This was only the second week of my junior year and Mrs.Perklin had decided to give us a test to see what we know. Apparently this test was supposed to be hard because all of the other kids the class were a red faced, and I think I saw tears in some of their eyes. London doesn't have this class with me, obviously because she would have had no problem, just like me.
A quick glance around the room( which still consisted of staring eyes directed at me) told me that this year was going to be difficult.
