Vengeful Soldier (Attack on Titan X Male Reader)

Nightmare in Trost

(Y/n) was blown completely off the wall causing him to catch himself before he hit the ground. He then sees a giant hole in the wall and titans flowing through. At this (Y/n) dashed down the wall to catch one of the cadets that had fallen thankfully keeping them from falling to there death. There was then a wave of steam emanating from the top of the wall, though before investigating Eren goes down tells them that they need to fall back.
-Barracks-
(Y/n) had come back with the rest of the cadets that were on top of the wall. Upon returning he saw Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt, he was relieved to see that they were okay. He was unsure if the colossal had thrown any rubble into the city at the moment so he was unsure of there safety though with what might be coming it might have been a more pleasant death. (Y/n) though is put into Eren's squad with Thomas Wagner, Mina Carolina, Armin Arlert, and of course Eren Jaeger. He could tell Armin is so beyond scared and if (Y/n) was honest he couldn't blame him. (Y/n) was greatly worried by what might be in the walls already. His friends and him had a brief talk as they spoke as if they were all about to die. This angered (Y/n) causing him to shout angrily.
(Y/n):"Why are you three speaking like we're all already dead!?"
Reiner:"We didn't mean it like that. It's just..."
Bertholdt:"The odds aren't necessarily in our favor surely you know that right?"
(Y/n):"None of you better die. Otherwise I'll never forgive you!"
Eren:"(Y/n)! We're going hurry up!"
(Y/n):"On it!"
(Y/n) then left as Annie thinks.
Annie's Thoughts:"Don't you go die on me either. Idiot."
-With Squad Eren-
They were on a rooftop looking on in silence as Eren says.
Eren:"Hey Armin. Isn't this a great chance? If we're successful here, before even joining the survey corps, we'll definitely rise quickly through the ranks!"
Eren looked so determined it seemed to set Armin at ease. Armin then responded with a bit of confidence.
Armin:"Yeah, you're right."
Mina:"Just to be clear, a lot want to join the Survey Corps this time around."
Thomas:"You got the best of me earlier, but not anymore."
(Y/n):"You think so, Thomas."
Thomas:"Then let's see who can kill more Titans. Don't pad your numbers."
With that they were told to advance upon doing so they maneuvered through the city with ease. That was until an Aberrant jumped over several building to grab them. Fortunately (Y/n) had managed to stop himself quick enough only to look up to see Thomas in its mouth. The reality of the situation had begun to sink in, not only was (Y/n) in a very dangerous situation, but he also would have watch people he knew die. Thomas had begun to tear up out of fear as the Aberrant lurched it's head back causing Thomas to slide down its throat. (Y/n) froze for a second before Eren jumped and began rushing the Aberrant the others then rushed off to help them. Though after they see a different Aberrant jump and take one of Eren's legs, the group began to take casualties. Mina was eaten right in front of (Y/n)'s eyes as he was grabbed by Titan himself he tried to wiggle free only to come to the realization of what was going to happen to him. He began to cry as he turned and saw Armin as he begged and pleaded.
(Y/n):"Armin! Please I really need your help!"
He just sees Armin drop to his knees in fear as (Y/n) is slowly placed in its mouth.
(Y/n):"Please, Armin! I don't want to die."
(Y/n) watched as he was now in the beasts mouth and it's jaws slammed shut. All light disappearing as he says lightly in denial.
(Y/n):"Not like this..."
The beast then lifted its head back dropping him into its stomach.
-With Annie, Bertholdt, Reiner, and the other Cadets-
Two hours had passed and they had finally been given the all clear to retreat though no one could. They were all very low on gas as they hadn't had any refills due to all the supply cadets being trapped inside. Annie had just landed atop the buildings where all the other cadets were. She quickly scanned for Reiner and Bertholdt. Upon seeing them she walked over and asked.
Annie:"Either of you two seen (Y/n)?"
Bertholdt:"No. Though he was very promising during training I'm sure he's fine."
Reiner:"Big Sis Annie, is worried about our little brother Bertholdt."
She stared down Reiner, until they all heard Armin scream.
Armin:"The members of Trainee Corps team 34, Thomas Wagner, Mina Carolina, (Y/n) (L/n), Eren Jaeger. These four died valiantly in the line of duty!"
Everyone looked on in horror including Reiner and Bertholdt. They all were saddened by this Bertholdt had actually begun to tear up and feel guilt as he says.
Bertholdt:"I should've went with him..."
Reiner then shouts angrily through his own tears.
Reiner:"Don't start that you know what our orders were! We all knew we couldn't look after him forever."
Annie just remains quiet as she is slightly looking down. Her facial expression hasn't changed at all though a tear does slide down her face before quickly wiping it away. Causing a memory to flash through her head.
-Back before the fall of wall Maria-
Annie was sitting up on the roof. Ever since (Y/n) showed her the stars on her first night, she often times came out even by herself. She then heard the tiles on the roof click as she turned to see (Y/n). He had been beaten up by bullies that day. He was actually pretty worse for ware. He had a black eye and the other was swollen shut. Annie just says with her normal deadened voice.
Annie:"(Y/n), what are you doing up here? You should be resting."
(Y/n):"So should you Annie. I figured you came up here, so I figured I would check on you. You seemed upset earlier."
Annie had gotten very angry when she saw the boys beating on (Y/n). Thankfully the help of Reiner and Bertholdt ended the fight quickly. Though that didn't change how much it had angered Annie. Reflecting on that reminded her to ask.
Annie:"Why did they even do that? We're all poor it's not like they are any better than us."
(Y/n):"They were saying bad things about you guys being orphans."
Annie looked uncharacteristically surprised and then asked.
Annie:"You stood you for us?"
(Y/n):"Of course. You guys are family. I'd do anything for you guys."
He said this with a goofy smile until he heard sniveling as Annie looked to him with tears rolling down her face as her breathing became erratic. This caused (Y/n) to say frantically.
(Y/n):"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry! Please stop crying!"
Annie then just hugged him tightly confusing him as he asked.
(Y/n):"Are you ok?"
Annie:"I'm fine. Just no one's ever stood up for me like that. Thank you."
(Y/n):"I should be the one thanking you if it wasn't for you guys I'd be a fine red paste. Don't worry though someday I'll be strong enough to protect all of us I promise."
At this Annie actually smiled lightly and said.
Annie:"I'll hold you to it."
-Present Time-
Annie was zipping around with her ODM gear. To everyone else she seemed stoic though if anyone could see her face, they'd see it crinkled into a grimace of pain as tears continued to roll down her face as she holds her teeth tightly together to keep the pain inside as she says in her head.
Annie's Thoughts:"You goddamn idiot! You promised! Why does this hurt so much?!"
