Vengeful Soldier (Attack on Titan X Male Reader)

The Scout's Interest

Thanks to the Scout Regiment the military had killed all the remaining titans. At the moment (Y/n) was helping with the others on clean up. The things (Y/n) saw were horrible, so many corpses were friends he had laughed with merely a day ago. Jean saw this and caused him to put a hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder as he says.
Jean:"You okay?"
(Y/n):"I'm fine it's just..."
He looks at all the carnage around him and simply says.
(Y/n):"It took so many for just one mission."
Right then he hears someone's voice that he hadn't heard in a while.
James:"(Y/n)! Oh thank god you're ok."
Rico:"Lieutenant! Get a hold of yourself! I'm sorry for him, sir."
???:"There is nothing to apologize for. I couldn't imagine having a son out here."
(Y/n) whips around to see his father and someone he wasn't expecting to see.

At seeing the Commander of The Scout Regiment, (Y/n) popped to attention and gave the salute he was taught during training. At seeing this Erwin returns the salute, before asking one of the Scouts beside him.
Erwin:"Was this the new recruit, that helped the scouts subjugate the rest of the titans?"
The one wearing what looked like goggles says excitedly.
???:"Yes! That's the one! He had a very scary look when he was going too. Reminds me a lot of someone else."
Erwin just chuckles as he simply says.
Erwin:"Well Private (L/n), I would like to talk to you about a future in the Scout Regiment. How does that sound?"
(Y/n):"Great Sir!"
Erwin:"Good to hear. You will go with Section Commander Hange Zoe to talk about the terms of your enlistment."
Hange:"This is amazing! I love when we get new recruits!"
The rest of the day was consumed by his terms of enlistment being negotiated by the higher ups in the military. He was also awarded the rank of Lance Corporal for his service in Trost alongside the Garrison and Scout regiment respectively. He had a promotion ceremony and everything, his Dad cried when he saw it, he thought he had lost his son earlier in the day only to see him promote and receive a distinguished service ribbon which all those that were in Trost received. His father however understood that his sons life expectancy wasn't long in the scouts so he vowed to make every moment count. Though being all these things took place at the same time as the Regimental Enlistment, he had no idea where Reiner, Bertholdt, or Annie we're going thus, as soon as his promotion ceremony was over, he ran over to the new Scouts to see both Reiner and Bertholdt. They both turned to him with a smile to see his rank insignia on his collar, this caused their smile to turn into a chuckle as (Y/n) was still wearing his ceremony uniform with the Scout logo on his back and his chest. He looks around confused for a sec, this caused Reiner to respond with.
Reiner:"If your looking for Annie she is probably about to embark on the ship to take her to the inner wall. If you hurry you still might catch her."
(Y/n):"What about you guys?"
Bertholdt:"We already saw her off before the ceremony. Though she'll definitely be happy to see you Lance Corporal."
(Y/n):"Please don't call me that and thanks guys!"
He just takes off running in hopes to catch her before her departure.
-With Annie-
All the military police recruits were getting their things together and getting on the boat to Wall Sina. Annie had thought due to (Y/n)'s promotion ceremony and Reiner and Bertholdt choosing the Scout Regiment, she wouldn't be seeing Reiner, Bertholdt, and (Y/n). She had thought they were all supposed to go into the military the police, but it seemed as if though (Y/n) had a similar effect on Reiner and Bertholdt as Eren did on the rest of the top 10 grads. At that thought she actually had a light smile as she looked at her own smile in the water that then turned into a sad frown as a tear fell down her face.
(Y/n):"Annie!"
She turned to see (Y/n) running up to the port. She felt a pain fill her heart as he neared as she felt guilt.
(Y/n):"Sorry it took so long to get here."
Annie:"..."
She was looking down this actually caused him to ask.
(Y/n):"Annie are you ok?"
Annie:"Why are you here, (Y/n)?"
(Y/n):"You're kidding right, Annie? You are leaving for the inner walls."
(Y/n) then looks sad as he says.
(Y/n):"There is a good chance I might not see you again. At least for awhile, it would be wrong to not see you off. You are family after all."
He then wears his signature smile causing her to cry as she hugs him tightly and say.
Annie:"J-just don't g-get yourself killed."
(Y/n) hugged her back tightly as he said with complete seriousness.
(Y/n):"I promise Annie."
At this she pulled back before grabbing his collar and pulling him into a kiss. He was completely shocked before she pushed him back as she stepped onto the boat right as it left not looking at (Y/n) as the ship began to leave sight. (Y/n) was stunned and at the same time hurt. Was that really how Annie felt about him, how could he had been so stupid as to not see.

I incorporated a little of the Marine Corps rank structure because I think it's the coolest so, I hope y'all are fine with that. Other than that I don't have much else to say so... yeah.
