Happy Valentine, lovely readers!
Arthit POV
"I'm home again!" I yell as soon as I open the front door.
"We're in the kitchen!" comes my mother's prompt reply.
As I turn around, I see Kongpob standing indecisively in the doorway.
"Come on in, Kong." I say impatiently to him and take his hand.
And then I pull him with me into the kitchen where we find all the traitors gathered.
Beam and Forth sit at the table while my mother puts dinner on the table.
"I see you've already had a successful conversation?" says Forth with a grin.
I raise an eyebrow and look at him questioningly, only then realizing that I'm still holding Kongpob's hand. I immediately let go of it as if I've been burned.
"What do you mean?" I look challengingly at Forth.
"I mean Kongpob's lip. You punched him again." And Forth's grin widens even more.
But before I can say anything in response, my mother rushes up to us and takes Kongpob's face between her hands and looks closely at his lip. "Kongpob my sweetheart. I'm going to fix your lip right now."
And then she turns in my direction and looks at me with her deadly stare. I have to swallow.
"I told you not to hurt anyone else with your fists." She says in a quiet ice-cold voice. I'm so dead.
"We had a misunderstanding and I acted before I thought." I hang my head like a little school boy caught stealing candy.
"Yeah, I heard about that. What solution did you come to?" Her tone was still icy cold.
I kept hanging my head and staring at my shoes, only this time I was too shy to answer.
"We are together now!" replied Kongpob. My head jerked up and I stared at him in shock. This idiot had the biggest grin on his face that reminded me of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.
"Really?" my mother's face positively beamed as she looked hopefully at Kongpob.
"Yes." I then replied with a less than enthusiastic face.
"Yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah!" my mother performed a strange victory dance, if I wasn't embarrassed by anything before, I was now desperately wishing for a hole to crawl into.
Behind my mom, I could see Forth and Beam giving each other a high five and grinning with satisfaction. I'm surrounded by traitors.
When my mom finally calmed down, she took Kongpob's both hands and looked at him with wide eyes. "Welcome to the family!"
"Thank you!" Kongpob's whole face beamed and grinned even wider. Ok, this is getting creepy, why is his grin getting wider? And why the hell am I being completely ignored?
After my mom hugged Kongpob too many times in my opinion and took care of his lippers (even though I already did), we were finally able to sit down at the table for dinner.
"I didn't know you were attending a boxing school Arthit?" suddenly Beam asked me.
"That's right Arthit, tell Beam why you attend a boxing school!" said Forth challengingly.
I looked over at my mother, but she just shrugged.
"Well where do I start?" I looked at Forth and my mother looking for help, but there was no sign that they would help me.
