Cousins

After running for some time and finally being sure that nobody was following us, we stopped to take a breath.

"Hey Arthit, glad you're here." Lam is out of breath.

"Yes, great greeting." I say and lean against a wall.

"You have a strong right heel, I must say. That Kongpob went down like a sack of rice." Lam burst into loud laughter.

"Do you do this often?" I then ask Forth.

Lam is still laughing and patting me on the shoulder. "Welcome to the den of wolves."

"Wolves? I wanted to go to college and not to be around wild animals"

"Well, you made a wrong turn, kid" Says Forth with a mischievous smile.

Lam and Forth laugh while I look at them annoyed.

"Forth!" fuck, that scared me. As I turn to the side from which the loud scream came, I see an angry Beam coming towards us. Oh oh, Forth is so on it.

"Babe." Forth tries to grin, which of course fails because his lip looks pretty ugly.

"What the hell did you do now?" Oh, Beam is coming on.

"I come here to have lunch with you and you look like you're Rocky and just came fresh out of the ring." Beam is not getting quieter, it's getting louder. Then suddenly he turns to me.

"Hello, Arthit. Did this idiot involve you in his bullshit fights? Let me see if you are hurt." His tone is suddenly friendly and he looks at me from head to toe.

"Come on, let me see your hands." I nod and let Beam pull me along.

"Beam, babe. I am hurt too. Can you fix me too?" Forth is begging Orb. I already told you that Forth turns into a puppy as soon as it comes to Beam.

I turn to Forth and show him the tongue, that's what he gets for that.

"Beam, can I have dinner with you tonight?" I ask in a very charming tone.

"But of course, you can always have dinner with me, unlike a certain person who has to earn it back first." And with that Beam looks at Forth really angry.

Beam takes me and the other two to the infirmary to look at our injuries and treat us.

I only have minor injuries on my right hand because I hit this Kongpob twice with the same fist. Forth and Lam already look worse.

Lam and I let them treat us without any problems, but Forth is whining like a little baby every time.

"Say Lam, is my cousin always such a wimp?" I ask teasingly.

"Only when he is treated by Beam."

Forth looks at both of us angrily and painfully twists his face again as soon as Beam touches his lip.

Lam and I burst out in laughter.

After we are all patched up, we all head back to our faculties.

"I'll pick you and Arthit up after class." Says Beam and gives Forth a little kiss on the lips as a goodbye.

We all wave to Beam as he leaves.

"I really don't understand why Beam is with a rude jerk like you. Is sex with you that good?" I was barely speaking when I already got a slap on the back of my head.

"Ow, what was that for?" I ask Forth.

"Deserved. Besides, I'm an animal in bed," this idiot says proudly.

"Yuck, I think I'm gonna throw up." I demonstratively hold onto my stomach.

"You can bicker on later, but right now we have to go. Come Arthit we'll take you to your hazing activities." Say Lam and push me towards the gym.

"Do I really have to go there?" I ask tearfully.

"Yes, all wolves have to go there!" Lam says enthusiastically.

"I am not an animal!" but my attempts to escape fail.

The hazing goes on until 6 o'clock in the evening and I am really exhausted, but with the thought of dinner my energy comes back.

When I come out of the hall Beam and Forth are already waiting for me.

"Well kid, did you survive your first day?" Forth asks me with a satisfied grin.

"Barbarians." I just say.

"Oh, come here, dear." Beam takes me in his arms and strokes my back. What Beam can't see is Forth's face. His mouth is wide open and he looks at us with complete disgust. I stick out my tongue and grin at him cheekily, he just threatens me with his fist.

Beam lets me go and we make our way to the parking lot.

"Where should we go for dinner?" Beam asks while getting into the driver's seat.

"I'm for Thai food." I say with anticipation for the meal.

"But I'd rather eat Italian." Says Forth and sulks.

Beam turns to Forth and strokes his cheek tenderly and I can see the love he feels for Forth in his eyes.

"Today Arthit is our guest of honor. We can eat Italian tomorrow. Okay, babe?" asks Beam tenderly. Forth nods and I can see him looking at Beam as if he were the most precious jewel in the world.

As I watch this scene from the back seat, I wish that deep down inside I could have a relationship as strong and deep as this one. 

Beam and Forth go with me to a traditional Thai restaurant. I sit across from Forth and Beam and look out the window and watch the pedestrians. The two love dollies opposite me are back in their own world anyway and I let them.

Forth orders for us and of course I have my pink milk ordered as well. I need my portion of sugar after this eventful day.

"Hey Arthit." I look at Forth in surprise.

"Where are you with your thoughts that I must call you." Ask me Forth.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was just reviewing the day." And I run my hand through my hair.

"About today. I was gonna tell you to stay away from EEM students."

"Hmm...Why?" I look at Forth questioningly.

"Kid, you knocked down Kongpob, the leader of those idiots, twice. Trust me, they're not gonna let that go." Says Forth with a serious face.

"You're serious, right?" I ask, a little worried.

He nods. "These guys can't take a joke. There are a lot of rumors about this guy and they're all ugly."

Beam shoves his elbow into Forth's side. "Stop scaring him."

"I'm not scaring him, Beam, I'm serious. He should always be out with his friends, or with us, but not alone."

"Great, my first day and I'm already on some crazy man's death list. Yeah, that was definitely on my to-do list." Sipping my pink milk.

Beam pats my shoulder. "You're gonna be okay, kiddo. Just stick to what Forth said, and in time I'm sure it'll all be gone." I nod and keep drinking.

I should go to Hazing tomorrow and look for suitable friends. They should be tall and well-built.

Would the Avengers have time to look after me for the next few years?

I think a Hulk would do as well.

So next goal, Arthit is looking for bodyguards.

What Arthit didn't know was that he was already being watched. A very angry Kongpob stood outside and looked at the restaurant where Beam, Forth and Arthit were sitting happily together.
