⫸Since you and Dick worked together you would think that you'd see him often, wrong. 

 ⫸The truth was Dick didn't know how to approach you though he was smitten at first glance. when you'd come around he was always called off to go do a mission for his work or Bruce needed him at the manor. 

 ⫸"Grayson," A surly voice snapped bringing him back to reality. Dick turned to see his chief drop a cardboard evidence box on his desk. It landed with a thud scattering his papers that he was supposed to be working on. 

 ⫸Dick looked at him in confusion, "(l/n) office," the chubby calloused man grumbled as if it was obvious. 

 ⫸He looked up in surprise hearing your last name be uttered. "I'll get it done sir," Dick said a bit too eagerly getting up. 

 ⫸The chief raised a brow from his sudden excitement. He then turned and left muttering, "Pansy," under his breath. 

 ⫸Dick didn't care, he was going to see you. He carefully carried the box in his hands and went to your lab. 

 ⫸When he got there, you were currently typing quickly on your keyboard, your eyes darting across the screen at the formulas and strings of numbers it presented. 

 ⫸Dick couldn't help but study you as he leaned against the door frame, you being unaware of his presence. 

 ⫸"Ahem," he cleared his throat causing you to jump. 

 ⫸You looked around frantically for your intruder, but you immediately relaxed seeing it was him. "Oh, it's just you," you sighed relieved.

⫸You couldn't help but let out a small laugh at his poor acting, "Im sorry I meant, his highness Officer Grayson the magnificent" you jokingly praised. 

 ⫸The raven-haired officer laughed causing you to. You couldn't help it, his smiles and laughs were contagious. 

 ⫸Without meaning too, the two of you found yourselves lost deep in conversation and joking around causing Dick to forget why he was there.

⫸Though, unfortunately, this sweet moment between the two of you was cut short by hearing the chief yell, telling Dick to get back down to the floor and get to work. 

 ⫸Dick couldn't help but glare at the direction in which his boss's surly voice came from. He sighed and set the evidence box down on the metal table in the middle of the room, an awkward silence falling over the room. 

 ⫸Just as he turned to leave, he left a small hand on his shoulder and stopped turning to you a confused yet curious expression on his face as you wrote something onto a shred of paper. 

 ⫸You tucked it into the front pocket of his uniform and patted it. 

 ⫸"Talk later Officer," you smirked
