Izzy's POV

I can't believe this. I have been bounced around in different foster homes for nearly six years, and now I'm randomly being picked up and shipped off to some random persons home?

"It's not random, they're your family." said this guy for the tenth time.

"And who are you?" I demanded.

"Call me Big Rob. I'm the security for the boys' band." the guy said. I folded my arms.

"They're seriously such diva's they need security?" I snapped.

"Joe is really the only diva." Big Rob said. I rolled my eyes.

"Who?"

"You've never heard of Joe Jonas?" Big Rob asked.

"Should I have?" I tightened my folded arms.

"Yeah. Wow, you must be the only teenage girl I know who isn't crazy 'bout them." Big Rob studied my face but I moved my hair to block him. "Move them pretty little curls so I can see you." I didn't respond, and I didn't move. I felt the limo stop and Big Rob climbed out. The trunk thing opened and I heard a lot of noise, then a voice.

"Where is she?" it asked.

"She's in the car, but she's being a little brat right now." Big Rob said. I rolled my eyes and turned the other way in my seat.

"Okay, well then lets just put her stuff in the house and leave her alone for a while." said another voice. It was a deeper voice, so I think it was probably older. But I didn't leave the car.

An hour later.

I waited in the car for a long time. When the car had first stopped, I could almost see the sun finish rising. But now it was beating down on the car and it was getting really hot. I sighed. I would melt if I spent another second in here, but if I got out I would have to talk to the people outside. I looked out the window. There was only one person left: Big Rob. He was on the phone, so I slid out the other door and quietly as possible went to the back. When Big Rob turned around for a second, I sprinted from the car to the back of the house. I guess he didn't see me because he didn't call me back. I climbed up the wall using broken out bricks as footholds. It's really dangerous, but I'd escaped many foster homes like this. I tried all the windows until I found one that was open. I pushed it a little further, then jumped inside. I looked around the room. It's probably where the parent's sleep, because everything is white and there's a giant bed. I crept out of the room and ran straight until I found an open door. There's some guys sitting in front of a giant piece of technology. One of them keeps slapping the others hands, keeping him off the knobs. A third guy walked in and I slid into the wall to get away. He walked up and in a cluster of boys one voice snapped: "Don't touch my keyboard, Kev."

"Jeez, I was just leaning on it." said the second voice.

"Well don't, okay?" said the first.

"Rude." said the third. I smirked. Those must be my brothers. I tried to sneak to their window, but I knocked into one of them.

"Whoa, hell-o!" he turned around. My eyes widened, but somehow he didn't look even remotely surprised. He had floppy black hair and stared at me through it. "Hey." he flipped his hair out of his eyes and flashed me a smile.

"Who're you?" asked the first voice from before.

"I'm...uh, no one." I shrugged.

"What's your name?" one of them asked. I could decide to lie, that would be easier.

"Mimi." I said. That was the first name that popped into my head. My sister was named Mimi, but we were separated when our parents were killed in a fire. My oldest sister, Lena, got everything and took it to her home in Canada. Mimi and I stayed together as long as we could, but when we found out we were going to be separated, we ran. After a week of hiding, Mimi and her boyfriend, who was also on the run with us, decided to go to his house and stay there. I didn't want to come, so they said I had died when we ran.

"Mimi?" he asked. I nodded. "Do you have a last name?"

"No, not that I can remember." I said.

"Where are your parents?" the second asked.

"I can't remember where I lived, or where I'm from," I lied. "But I know I don't have any family."

"How long have you been alone?" the third one asked.

"I don't know, probably a few days." I said. One man whispered something to the others and then left.

"I'm Nick. I think you ran away from home, maybe?" he said. I bit my lip and shook my head.

"I don't think so..." I lied. Nick sighed.

"Don't lie to me." he said.

"How did you-?"

"It shouldn't matter, I hope I'll never have to see you lie again, though." he said sternly.

"You're not my dad." I mumbled.

"What?"

"You're not my dad!" I yelled.

"Don't yell at me." Nick said. I closed my mouth and bit my lip again. "It's true, I'm not your dad. Especially since you don't look like you're much younger than me. But since I've treated you with respect, I think it's only fair that you return the favor."

"When was the last time you ate, Mimi?" the third person asked.

"Doesn't matter."

"Yes, it does!"

"Why do you even care about me?" I asked, half yelling. "Every other person in the world treats me like shit, even when I'm part of their family! So why the hell would you care what happens to me?! I don't care about you, or whoever that other man was!"

"Mimi, you need to calm down, okay?" Nick said, moving in front of me and forcing me to look at him. "Stop yelling, and do not ever use any language like that again."

"You're not in charge of me! You're not my dad! I don't belong to you! And I'll say whatever shit I feel like saying!" I screamed. He sighed.

"I'm not your dad, I know that. But you have to calm down and be quiet." Nick said. He was standing sort of close to me, so I threw my hands out and blocked him from coming any closer. Nick raised his eyebrow and I instantly felt bad.

"How old are you?" he asked.

"Sixteen." I lied.

"Yeah, right. Let me guess...eleven?"

"Twelve."

"OK, twelve. But that's not sixteen. Another lie." Nick said, shaking his head. I swallowed hard.

"What are you going to do?" I asked nervously. Nick looked at me surprised.

"What do you think I would do?" Nick asked. I didn't really want to respond so instead I mumbled some random words incoherently so he would think I said something. Nick shook his head and he and the other guy left the room. I didn't move, I just focused on the floor. A few minutes later Big Rob came in.

"We just don't know who she is." the last guy was saying.

"That there," Big Rob said. "is your baby sister."
