All Hermiones life had been  dedicated to going to hogwarts. The hours pouring over her potions  books and learning the dates of historical events of the wizarding world to insure she could get in, for it to lead to this. This school had caused her more pain than a person should indure in a life time she should hate the place really it was the route of all her trauma and problems she should want to burn it to the ground along with the death eaters before her, but she will never back down from what she believed in and that was everything good and that's what keeps her going, the fact That Hermione granger will never back away from a challenge.

The time she had lost roaming library's for new books for her brain to chew on was for nothing, because in this moment she had failed . Failed her friends. Her class mates and teachers. She had failed everyone.

The class that she had grown up with stood staring back at her with hope and fire in there ashened faces as they wait for her to instruct them with her quick- witted plan maybe if she had picked up a different book she had browsed past in her years she would have a plan.
But no.
Hermione stood helpless and out of breath as her palms began to sweat and the trickle of blood from a cut she had not noticed was there trickled down her face and her friends began to pale when they realised they had reached a dead end to this war. She looked into Ron's eyes and saw the confusion and sadness of the events that had taken place today, he had lost his brother and father on that battle field. His father taken from him right in front of his eyes as he watched him defend his children from 4 roofless death eaters. Hermione had seen too and it outraged her that she couldn't get to them in time as she too was dealing with her own handful  of merciless fighters and her anger towards  Ron grew  for not helping. He stood there looking lost after his brother was taken putting himself in danger all while even his youngest sister helped her father defend the grieving family behind them.

They were now Outnumbered. 1 to 5 at the least.

Hermiones eyes darted around at the death eaters as their black cloaks hugged their bodies, standing tall and proud as they watched her dilemma unfold, they knew they had won they probably knew from the start. It was an unfair battle using goblins,  trolls and magic that could drive even the sanest person insane fuelled by the need for power and glory that even these great and powerful beings turned to the dark sources that they considered magic.   their black eyes stared into theirs with a smirk  waiting for the order from their lord to attack with their hands twitching around their wands eager to cause more havoc and trouble for these people desperate for normality. how someone could support this type of evil confused her it was a puzzle she couldn't crack and it was driving her insane.

At least half the death eaters before her had children who went or are at this school she could recognise the familiar facial features of her fellow students who now stood up against their parents.  does that mean nothing to them? That by supporting this wizard they are loosing their children? To burn their  loved ones memories away that are slotted into the walls of the school that holds so many whispers and secrets. That is now  crumbling  behind them no longer being able to handle the pressure of the war, the school was how Hermione felt. Tired. Both of their  walls of defences were collapsing into rubble. As the school fell so did their hopes. Even so, Hermione readied herself to fight one last time.

Because Hermione granger will never back away from a challenge
