It was Thursday now, and I hadn't spoken to Kayla since Monday. It was hard for me to not reach out, but I knew I needed to stand my ground. If she wants to continue being a bitch then I don't care. It's not my problem anymore, nor was it ever my problem. She's just a girl I'm fucking, I have no interest in fighting with my hook ups like we're in a relationship. That's why it's a hook up and nothing more. I don't have the energy for the bullshit that comes with relationships now a days, so if she wants to come see me, and decides to fly down, then she can. But I ain't begging her, she's the last bitch I'd beg to come see me as far as I'm concerned. Especially with that fucking attitude. God she's so annoying. I don't know why I even tried.

"So... uhm, would you wanna stay over tonight?" Aly, a girl I had met tonight at some event that Paul made me and Royce go to called from her bathroom as I laid in her bed with only my boxers on.

"Uh, nah that's aight. I gotta work and shit tomorrow, but thanks anyway though." I replied as I scrolled through my phone waiting for her to come back.

"Oh. Right. No worries, I have to work tomorrow too, I get it." She said awkwardly as she came back out into the room. I just ignored her and kept scrolling. I should probably leave soon. She was kind of a boring fuck, I don't really know why I'm still here to be honest. Mmm her beds comfy though.

"I'm gonna come tomorrow." A notification from Kayla slid down on my screen as I felt Aly get back into the bed with me. My eyebrows involuntarily raised and I angled my phone to the side away from Aly as I tapped on the text. "if the offer still stands, that is."

"definitely." I hit send and then started to sit up. "Aight, I should get goin'." I said as I turned to Aly.

"Okay." Her soft smile had traces of sadness to it. "Thanks for the night, it was really fun." We both got out of the bed and I began redressing myself as she waited for me.

"Yeah, 'course. Thank you."  She let out a little, clearly fake and awkward giggle. God I hate that. I never understood why girls always act so fake around me, as if I'm not just a human. It's so exhausting. I got my jeans done up, re-buckled my belt, threw my shirt back on, and then we both headed towards the door with an awkward tension still lingering behind us as we walked through her house. We finally reached her front door and I put on my shoes and jacket as quickly as possible. "Aight, well I'll see you later. Thanks again." I said as I reached out to give her a one-armed hug.

"Yeah. Have a good night!" She wrapped both of her arms tightly around my waist. What the fuck are you doin'?

"You too. Peace." I released her and opened up the door.

"Bye!" She said as I shut it behind me and quickly ran down her front steps. I hopped back in my car and pulled my phone out once more as I let it warm up a bit which is when I saw I had two more unread texts from Kayla.

"😊" Was sent first and then a few minutes later, "I'm sorry for being so rude to you."

A smug smile began to creep onto my face. I bet she is."I'm on my way home right now. I'll call u when I get there."

"I'd love that." I raised my eyebrows slightly as I clicked my phone off and put my car into drive. Holy shit, what an attitude change. Probably realized the chance she was about to lose if she didn't fix that shit.

I drove for almost a fucking hour, not realizing at the time that she offered to go to her place how long of a damn drive it would be for me to get back home, but once I finally did I was so thankful. I was honestly getting a little bit nervous that since it took me so long to get home, that maybe Kay would have gone to bed and I wouldn't be able to talk to her until the morning. I pulled the car into my garage and quickly grabbed my phone from the middle console. I started simultaneously calling her while I brought my keys out and unlocked the front door.
