The Demon In The Village

Y/N walked ahead of his class as they were heading to the village for their "field trip." It confused Y/N why he had to bring his students, it felt like he was unnecessarily endangering the students. "I wonder why dad made me come along? Maybe your students want to become as amazing as me!" a voice stated from the side of him. The principal had insisted his daughter come along, as he felt her Sins ability would be useful in this particular situation. "He chose you because the Sin of Prides ability to cancel out magic with a roar would be particularly useful, as the hostile force is advanced in Fire and Dark magic" Y/N explained, making sure to hush his voice as to not alert the other students. "That's-Woah" Chiyo stared in awe at the village, now filled with flames and corpses. Y/N stared at all the death and destruction with a blank expression, while he heard students behind him cry out in fear, some even vomiting. "W-Wha-?!" Ai stuttered, before running in front of her teacher and shouting at him in outrage "What the hell happened here?!" Y/N stared at her with a blank expression, before hearing a voice emerging from the flames "I killed them all."

"Wh-What the-?!" Ai stuttered, before the figure vanished, and appeared behind her. "You're next" the figure stated, before Ai spun around, seeing the face of the sociopath who had killed these poor, innocent people. A demon. A monster. Ai stared in fear and shock, before the creature spoke "Now, die."

The demon held up his hand, before casting a quick chant of "Fireball." Suddenly, a ball of flames appeared in his palm, faster in cast but only a quarter of the strength of if he had casted the full spell. Ai took a step back, before shouting out in fear "Y/N! HELP ME!" The demon was about to throw the fireball, but a moment before the monster could...

"Be honest..." Y/N told the demon, clutching his hand. The students, Ai, even Chiyo and the demon looked at the captain in shock before he spoke again "How many innocent lives did you take?" The demon started to sweat, before pulling his arm away and darting back. "Damn brat, learn your place!" the demon shouted in anger, before floating upwards. "Chiyo" Y/N looked at the Sin of Pride, and she immediately knew what to do. Suddenly, the two began to chant simultaneously.

Chiyo: "God of Ice, as the source of my magic, grant me power and create a barrier to protect me and my allies from flames."

The Demon: "God of the flames, as the source of my magic, grant me power and create a rain of flaming arrows to erase my enemies."

Chiyo (simultaneously): "FROST WALL!"

The demon (simultaneously): "HELLFLAME RAINFALL!"

In front of Chiyo and the students, a barrier of light blue magic appeared, protecting them from the barrage of flaming arrows that flew towards them. An arrow flew toward Ai, who ducked in fear, but before the arrow could come near her, Y/N pulled out one of his swords and sliced the arrow vertically, before putting the sword away. In anger, the demon fired more arrows, concentrating the majority of the projectiles on the two individuals outside of the barriers projection. Y/N pulled out both of his swords "Ai, stay behind me." As the arrows rained down on him, Y/N unleashed a flurry of wild and rapid slashes, slicing through the flaming arrows coming toward them, making sure to keep Ai safe.
