It had been nearly a month since Chase had left, each day getting a little bit easier for the little family. Teo and Owen were getting on like a house on fire, the blonde man constantly checking on his nephew and looking after him while Bella worked. She had been in the studio every day, working from 8am to 6pm at least. She was always home for dinner though. And always managed to put Mateo to bed. Over the past few weeks, the girl had written and recorded numerous songs, some solo and some featuring artists. She had released 11 minutes and it blew up overnight, selling out all over the world.
However, the girl was missing Chase even more as each day passed. He rarely had the chance to call, and when he did he could talk for five minutes at a time. Teo was beginning to notice, and both Bella and Owen could tell that it was upsetting him, so the pair decided they would cheer him up.
Bella had messaged Carolynn, Madison, Charlie and Tyler, and arranged for the group to meet up and go to the beach, Mateo's favourite place. It was 8:45, the group was meeting at 9:30, and Owen was still flat out in his bed. Bella walked through to Mateo, who was already awake and moving around his room, playing with the dinosaurs Dylan had bought him for Christmas. Looking up, a smile tugged at the boys lips.
"Buenos dias, mama" He smiled, jumping up to give her a hug.
"Buenos dias, hijo" Bella laughed, picking up the boy and spinning him around. "Now, we have a big day ahead of us, and Tio Owen is still asleep, shall we wake him up!"
Teo looked at Bella, a devilish smirk decorating his face, "Of course, mama. Let's go!". Bella put the boy down and ran behind him as he made his way into Owen's room. The boy smiled at his mother and jumped onto Owen's neck, causing the man to shoot upwards.
"HOLY SHIT! WHAT? I"M UP!" He shouted, before slapping his hand over his mouth, realising he swore.
"LANGUAGE OWEN!" Bella scolded, "And Mateo, you be a good boy and never say that word in front of mommy, Okay?"
"Yas mama" He nodded.
"Go get dressed, Principe. We're gonna have fun today!" Bella smiled, her and Owen both watching as the boy's face lit up and he ran to get dressed. Bella sat next to Owen, leaning into him and smiling. It was going to be a good day today. She could tell.

The group minus Tyler had been at the beach for a while, not going into the water until Tyler arrived. They had planned the perfect surprise for Teo, Tyler was arriving later than the rest, as he hadn't seen his nephew in months. The group sat on the sand, waiting for the signal from Bella. As soon as she cleared her throat they all jumped up.
"Cmon Teo, lets try surf!" Caro smiled and scooped the boy into her arms, earning a giggle from him.
"MAMA! TIO OWEN! COME ON!" The boy shouted as he was taken to the water. Charlie picked up the small boy's board, as Jer picked up Caro's.
The whole group were in the water, watching Mateo stand up and ride out small waves, clapping each time he did it. Teo was giggling to himself, proud he had done it when a voice spoke up.
"Well! I've not seen my little man in what? 4 months? And look at him!" Tyler clapped and whooped, sitting on his board.
"TIO TY!" Mateo shouted, discarding his board and attempting to swim over to Tyler, as the older man met him halfway.
"How are you, my little man?" Ty asked, bringing his nephew into a tight hug. The two began their conversation as the group swam towards them. However, Bella swam to retrieve Mateo's board, before being interrupted by a voice she knew all too well.
"Well if it isn't little Bells?" the voice chuckled from behind.
"No fucking way" Bella muttered as she spun round, her eyes locking with the golden brown ones she knew all too well.
"OH MY GOD!" She squealed before swimming as quick as she could into their arms.
"I missed you too Bells" he laughed, squeezing her tightly.
"Dylan! Holy shit! I can't believe you're here! Why are you here?" Bella rambled, nuzzling into him.
"Are you complaining?" He smirked, looking down and raising an eyebrow.
"Of course not! I'm so happy you are!" Bella laughed, lightly punching his arm.
"Well, I'm here for press on the Death Cure" Dylan laughed as the two began to swim towards their group, "And Tyler told me that Chase was off working in Charleston, so I thought, why don't I come visit my favourite Latina?"
Bella laughed as they arrived at the group, "Well, I'm glad you're here" the girl smiled at the older boy, who wrapped an arm around her, and then looked at what the group were doing. Owen and Jer were still attempting to finally balance on their boards, Charlie was watching them and laughing, and Tyler and Caro were playing with Teo, his giggles filling everybody's ears.
"So, how've you been? Any new music I should know about? Secret boyfriends? Girlfriends? You know if you like girls it's okay, right?" Dylan pushed, trying to get answers out of his friend.
"Dyl, I know you think it'd be hot if I was bisexual, or lesbian. But I'm not. And as for the boyfriend thing. I haven't been with anyone since Jace. You know how hurt I was." Bella went quiet towards the end of her answer. Dylan picked up on this and gave her a hug.
"I'm sorry for asking, but I want you to know that none of that was your fault. Just because you're close with Chase, doesn't mean anything would ever happen. And if you're boyfriend can't understand that you are so close with Chase, then they ain't worth it. Send em our way" Dylan said, gesturing to him and the rest of the boys, "We'll set em straight"
Bella laughed, pushing Dylan, "Dyl, I promise if i find someone i'll tell you all about them. Now, what about you? Any new girls?"
"Nah, it's too soon. I'm still hurting from Britt" Dylan frowned, causing the girl to feel terrible about asking.
"I'm sorry, let's go and mess around with the rest of them" Bella swiftly changed the subject, and began to swim to the others, ready to teach Owen and Jer how to stand up on their board.
The rest of the day was spent playing in the water, playing volleyball, taking pictures and having a good time. This was the life, and Bella wouldn't change it for the world. Well, it was missing one thing. Her Chase.
