- Where is Andy? Travis asked as he looked over the station.
- Sullivan benched her. They had an argument in the beanery and he benched her. Vic said whispering.
- And you know this how?
- I was in a gym when that happen so I stayed quiet, not wanting to interrupt them.
- So? What's the reason? Did he say anything?
- Apparently she doesn't respect him.
Both of them froze when Maya got out of the office giving them a look. After a few seconds they both walked fast from that awkward situation. They didn't know if she hear them or not, they decided to act like nothing happened.
- Line up in 5. Maya shouted.
Everybody went to the barn waiting for the captain.
- I just got informed that 3 alarm fire in mattress factory is progressing so stand by. Herrera is off today and don't ask why. And she left.
After about an hour they got called to the mattress fire. The whole Battalion which means Sullivan is there too.
Sullivan quickly gave orders for 19. Everybody ran inside to try to evac those workers. The fire progressed really fast. Literally you didn't have time for a break. They would go back and forth a few times and just when they thought they got everyone out they heard Sullivan over the radio.
- We are trapped. I repeat we are trapped.
Sullivan and Gibson were trapped in the west side of the building trying to rescue 2 people.
- We are getting you out, stay still. Bishop shouted over the radio.
The tick black smoke started to show on the roof. Everyone got tense. A few explosions happen as they tried to go in again.
-I think I need to call Andy. Vic said to Travis.
- You think he is not gonna make it? Travis said panicking.
- I don't know but she needs to know.
Back at the apartment Andy was still in the bed, not wanting to get up. Not feeling like living. He benched her after he promoted Maya over her. Of course she was going to be furious. It was her spot and she earn it. She was so pissed at him, at her dad for wanting to protect her. Ryan died yes and she was grieving. Everything that happen were hitting her. It was looking like the whole world was against her. And literally what was about to happen, seemed like it.
Vic didn't tell Travis the whole story she heard that night. She knows that something happened between them. That they are more than just the lieutenant and the battalion chief or more than just friends. She understands it. She had that.
So she took her phone from the engine, took a deep breath and dial Andy.
- I know I'm not supposed to know any of this. But you need to come to the scene. Sullivan is trapped in the factory and it's bad.
- How? What? Vic? How do you know?
- There is no time to explain. Just hurry up.
They were working on rescuing them but fire chief ordered to stand by. Everyone was in shocked.
- With all due respect sir, we have to get them out they will die in there. Maya said, vividly frustrated.
On the way there Andy was confused, scared. Her hands where shaking, her mind wasn't at the right place. „What's going on? He is trapped? How bad was it?" were only thoughts she had on her mind.
