Chapter One: When You Hit The Limitation

±

He continued to walk, and walk, and walk, deep through the familiar park, how is that park even not familiar? He have visited there, all time of his life.

Which is infinite.

His face lighted up having no problems going to his favorite spot, he move just enough and took a seat on the grass, having both of his hand as a support, he lean his back to the air extending one feet laying it to the grass flat, while the other was raise like he will stand any moment of from then, and as if he's on the beach with that position.

And now look ahead, like he always do, in any day, everyday, when he took a seat there. Actually, as he smiles, he seems to be an angel, the sun kiss his skin that was fair as the heavens, he has this otherworldly beauty all female could go crazy with.

In life, he has the loving, supportive family he could ever had, his all supportive parents and his loving brother, literally he don't have any problem at all. He used to, used to do everything to achieving it, feel the satisfaction after reaching the goal, he's a good friend and a boy—not really.

When he happened to feel that he lacks everything now that, he can do everything.

Literally everything.

Now, he can read minds, he can tell what people are thinking, he can tell what's the person past by touching them, I mean in the hand, he can literally do whatever.

His question, was it a blessing or a filthy curse? Was having something, like his capabilities that is beyond everyone, means losing something in return?

At first he's never wished for something like that. Or, at least that is what he remembered, now at this time, the sun was almost setting, was his usual time to suffer—ah, he suffers from that time he have woken up from the nightmare.

Who would like that? It may sound pretty cool, but do you actually wanted to hear the thoughts of that person you met? No? Of course, that is like, peeking to someone elses conversation at messenger. Also who would like, knowing a friend, all so pretty good, for you, that's what you know, but have actually had the creepiest past ever? Like he molested his sister before, or nah? He killed someone because of a small conflict. No one, right?

Who would like knowing the truth when sometimes it's better when you don't know them? Who would like knowing, that your parents, whom you thought are still in a good relationship, was already done with each other, but hold on because they have obligations.

Who would like that? Perhaps someone who'd like to play games, using that as an advantage bullying the weak, that's never he wished for. But was, given to him.

Nakakatawang isipin, he thought just heroes could make themselves be transparent and disappear, while he could as well, or like... People, could, not, see him anymore.

Now is that cool? Nah!

He has no limitations on the miracles he can do, he even wonder if he could resurrect someone dead, after him killing himself jumping to a 200 storey building, he didn't have a single scratch after the suicide, it was head blowing and is beyond his comprehension, he became so overpowered, he's not human anymore. And that's his limit.

He's no longer human, he's a mere overpowered soul who's trying his way back to the world, hoping one passerby at that spot would notice his presence and looks at him, talk to him, bring him to the world again.

Masakit para sa kan'ya ang makita ang kan'yang pamilya na nasira ng dahil sa kan'ya, he's been 17 years missing, his younger brother aged more than him, ah now, he also thought if he would ever aged.

Nanuod, lamang, habang umiiyak, he's blamed himself so much, lots of suicide happened. He even burned himself, but that feeling he couldn't just, he couldn't... Do anything for his mother.

"And that sucks for every reason I have." He muttered letting out a sigh together with the wind.

I miss the old days with Kevin."

Kevin was his friend from high school, which is now, 35 years old and has a family and a stable job, a peaceful life, also, he's never jealous his whole life, but then after he knew, he smiled seeing Kevin was happy with his wife and children.

Time flies, when his mother died, all he did was to blaming himself, but after knocking some senses for the past sleepless weeks, he decided to move on, he thought, his mother wouldn't be so happy seeing him sad because of her.

Now he practiced not being that jealous, he practiced to not, that much, blame himself and seek the hope, that should, at least one stranger, would notice his lonely presence.

But the same as that day to be any other day him enjoying the happy view of people, the people doing their things, him hearing some of their thoughts, them coming and going. He watches the sun go down, naging tahimik ang parke, kukunti na lamang ang mga taong naroon, at malayo sa kung saan siya nakaupo. The lights on the pole was lighted up, the spot where he was, has woods, shed a small light from there.

He stood up, wala naman rason pa para manatili pa siya doon, naisip niya, may bukas pa naman, at sunod na bukas, at sunod na bukas, hanggang sa sunod sunod na mga taon, he can wait, of course, he'd wait for hope.

When the breeze touch his cheeks, his hands fidget as a reaction, he tilted his head to one direction.

"Sigurado po kayong dito na muna tayo? Baka mag alala na iyong ina—" The young man, that is seems to be so frail, very much fragile like a glass that could be easily shattered, cut the middle aged words short, saying, "You can leave if you want. I can make it to the house on my own."

He was so confused that he remained still to where he's standing, which supposedly he was leaving. Why this frail young boy standing infront of the middle age man is alive, very alive, breathing and moving, he even heard his voice, but slowly is...

Disappearing?

That was the first question registered to his head. He studied the young boy, but what did he get?

He shockingly couldn't feel emotions from him, he can't read or hear any thoughts—which made his head go blank for some few good seconds, "how was that even possible"? Was written all over his face as his eyelids blink on their own. It was his very first time meeting such soul, and it was iconic somehow.

"Hindi ko po kayo pwedeng iwan, pero kung gusto niyo na munang manatili, maghihintay lang po ako sa sasakyan." The young man returned a short nod, matapos nilang dalawang tignan ang lalaki na umalis, deretsong tumingin sa kan'ya ang lalaki suot ang blanko nitong mga mata.

He took a step back.

His heart skip a beat.

His mouth was left wide open.

Muttering words, there to where he stood. "Did he just, looks at m-me?"
