Chapter Two: I was alive before
±
"Why are you making that face?" Was the fragile one ask, walk so fragile as well, going to where he stood, getting closer to him, his walks are as silent as him as well, like there's nothing else that was audible in the park but the insects making noises everywhere and the leaves that was disturb by the passing wind.
Nagulat pa rin siya, hindi pa alam ang gagawin maliban sa maging tanga sa harapan ng bagong dating, he never expected, all this time this disappearing guy would be the one to saw him. Nakaawang pa rin ang kan'yang bibig noong tumayo sila sa harapan ng isa't isa.
The guy reach to where he was, of course he would. The fragile soul extended a hand, saying, "I have been called crazy all the time as I peculiarly can see things other people can not. Do not be so surprised."
Napalunok ng laway ay tinignan niya ang mga mata ng lalaking nasa kan'yang harapan, hindi masyadong inisip ang sinabi nito. He was drown by the idea of salvation, and the questions... "This must be it? Is he my salvation?" Was his straightforward questions, being self centered not even bothering to know the guy yet.
He shook his head.
He was still curious why this fragile soul is disappearing even if was still alive, a shake of their hands and a talk would not hurt him, anyway. "Call me Rye. Just Rye," Rye managed to pull himself together after their hands touch, he's knock some senses if he won't act nicely the guy might leave him any time because of him looking like a creep.
He can't afford that happening.
The guy in a monotonous voice like before but has a lingering tone that perhaps won't leave his head for a while, said after him, "Dale Earnhardt. I could not say it's a pleasure to meet you."
Rye flinch with the following words, Dale let go of his hand and took a seat to his spot, sandaling nabigla siya noong dahan dahan ang paggalaw nitong naupo doon, sa mismong pwesto kung saan siya umuupo, at naupo sa posisyon na kan'yang laging ginagawa.
Bago pa man ito tuluyang isandal ang kan'yang likod sa hangin, he tap on a grass though leave a space in between, he gestured Rye to sit with him, join him to take a seat to where he was seated. The place was getting darker, there was only small light that was spared on that spot by the nearest pole, but Rye could see Dale wanted to talk about a subject, he is not that certain what.
Without second thoughts, he move his feet and joined Dale taking a seat on the grass, but this night, Rye was on an indian seat. Since Dale was there, sinabi niya na lamang sa sarili niyang makinig sa kung ano man ang sasabihin nito, sinabi niya din sa sarili na sasamahan niya ito hanggang mapaisipan nitong umuwi na.
The defining silence followed, Rye was getting a bit uncomfortable to where he was, which was new, he's never feel uncomfortable since that night, since a lot of years ago, even taken aback that much, should he be thankful with Dale... Which was...
Looking so peaceful, he has this soft facade and a heart raising side profile which even his pale lips fit together those nose anyone could envy and this long lashes and his blank eyes looking away, Rye's not certain what he was thinking.
Kanina niya pa hindi alam na siya rin nagdala sa kan'ya upang magtaka, at naisip, now, isn't that just comparable, he's overpowered, he can't be seen, he can do everything, but Dale on his side, was more than him, Dale is a mystery, a living mystery, a breathing fragile soul who is, disappearing.
"Didn't realize the spot here was better than the other spot I've had here when I visit." Finally, after a long silence and the intriguing thoughts, Dale decided to speak, but his gaze is still away, not sparing a look on Rye. Rye on his seat, looks at him, but found it odd and look away as well.
