"is she okay?"

"what was that?"

"stella?"

"what happened?" stella asked, confused of all the commotion.

"you and harry both passed out," neville explained.

stella looked over to her right and there was harry potter eating a piece of chocolate that the man that was sleeping in the compartment gave him.

"professor r.j lupin," the man extended a hand for stella to shake.

"stella black."

stella however didn't see the flicker of sadness in professor lupins eyes as she announced her name with the same air of confidence that his former best friend had.  she didn't see how he soaked in the features of the girl that was a child of two of his best friends.  the same golden locks as her mother, the famous silver eyes that all of the blacks had, however stella's eyes held waves of blue which he could only assume was from her veela blood.

"eat this it'll help," the kind professor said while handing her a piece of chocolate.

"free food," stella said while shrugging causing the man to chuckle.

"if you'll excuse me, i have to have a word with the driver," the professor stated as he stood up from his previous kneeling position.

"potter, granger, black!  my office!"

"but minnie i've been such an angel!" stella yelled back with sweetness laced through her voice.  the same innocent puppy dog face her father used to make when he was called to a certain transfiguration professors office.

"you aren't in trouble - move along, mr. weasley."

the three of them followed their professor leaving a confused red head behind.

"professor lupin sent an owl saying that you passed out, potter, black."

before stella or harry could interrupt saying they were fine, madam pomfrey came bustling in with a concerned look.

stella looked amused at the extreme blush on the potter boys face at the fuss that was being made.

"i'm fine really," he tried to interject.

"oh it's you again.  i suppose you were off doing something dangerous?" madam pomfrey said looking unimpressed at the fact that the boy who lived needed more medical attention.

"it was a dementor, poppy," mcgonagall stated.

madam pomfrey tutted at this, "setting dementors around a school.  he won't be the last one who collapses," madam pomfrey started as she felt his forehead.  "yes, he's all clammy.  terrible things, they are, and the effect they have on people who are already delicate-"

"i'm not delicate!" the already flustered boy interrupted.

stella looked him up and down and faked looking like she was trying to come to a conclusion.

"eh," stella came to her 'conclusion.'

everyone but harry tried to suppress their laughter at the girls antics.

"at least have some chocolate, you two," madam pomfrey said to the potter and black sitting next to each other in the office chairs.

"fesser lupin already gave us some," stella pointed out.

"did he now?  so we've finally got a defense against the dark arts teacher who knows his remedies?" madam pomfrey said proudly and approvingly.

"are you two sure you're alright?" the transfiguration professor said in a concerned tone, trying to observe the black girl who she knew was going through a lot.

"we're fine minnie aren't we harold?" stella said with a peppy tone.  she knew that minnie probably was referring to more than the train incident.  stella preferred not to talk to anyone about it, at least not yet.

"my name isn't harold," harry muttered.

"please speak up, harold," stella teased.

"alright you two out!" mcgonagall said trying not to look amused.

"bye minnie!" stella called out as her and harry exited her office.

stella and harry walked around the halls for a bit in comfortable silence until stella finally spoke up.

"thank you," she said with sincerity in her angelic voice.

"w-what are you thanking me for?" harry asked extremely confused and a bit flustered just because of his proximity with the girl.

"for not thinking that i'm like my father or believing the prophet."

"stella we've known each other for 3 years if you wanted to kill me you would've done it by now."

"i still appreciate it," stella said giving the boy a smile.

"always."
